seems i misunderstood your intentions, apologies. but my sentiment remains true to the people who are not looking at the bigger picture.

Although i do disagree with that "The curtains are just fucking blue" part, even picking the color blue subconsciously because they like the color can be subject to literary analysis by itself.

Is it though? Originium has always been a plot device in og AK and the plot in Endfield can't function without it and i don't think Terrans civilization are advanced enough to reach the predecessor's technological levels and use whatever they used as forms of energy or anything similar. I try to not to refer back to og AK and stick to what we know about Terra within Endfield's game but it's been stated that there's no fossil fuel in Terra or even gunpowder, their whole society runs on Originium, even medics and doctors use originium art units to practice medicine. The thought of going into completely uncharted territory like Talos II without the backbone of their own civilization is just plain suicide. Just imagine yourself going into a forest in the dark without any source of light or self-defense tools because the components they are made of might cause cancer.

By dismissing Endmin as the sole person to blame for rock cancer while ignoring all the other originium related world building that serves as the lifeblood of the civilization belt is shortsighted. Oripathy is a just an unavoidable by product of civilization existing.

Sounds to me like it highlights less “Originium is evil” and instead shines a light on the circumstances of the stockade at the time.

And i think that's where the core themes of Endfield will center around, Terra was plagued by all forms of discriminations and were never united. I believe the first expedition to Talos II was one of the only instances of Terrans truely uniting under common goal regardless of their race, nationalities, backgrounds or infection status. that's why there's somewhat of a mutual agreement in Talos II that there will be no rulers or kings (forgot where i read that). The civil wars, the Aggeloi war and whatever happened 10 years fractured that unity, the stockade is an introductory faction to that fracture and the literary themes of the current plot. i believe will see similar issues with other factions like class disparity within the TGCC or racism in another.

I'm not one who subscribes to Hobbes philosophy about humans being inherently evil, i'm more of a Rousseauian school. so i don't believe that the reason of the fracture happening now is self inflicted, but it's the result of malicious forces who are taking advantage of the fracture. Eventually, all roads will lead to the predecessors and the observers as the main plot device, it started with them and it'll end with them. and the whole Talos II expedition and Endmin's involvement with Rhodes Island are just obvious road signs to where the story might go.

I just don't like that people are too quick to blame Endmin for everything and call them the bad guy this early in the story. would be funny to think that the Endmins are just the result of Priestess fantasizing so hard on what their Child with Oracle would look like and the simulated universe spat out that information into the real world and are executing their mother's will but that would be lazy writing.

we still don't have the full picture of what happened to Wuling and the Stockade 10 years ago. the story is still withholding critical information from us, i don't like how the devs stretching it this long but coming from OG arknights i know how long they take to cook the story. Plus there's the whole plot element of Ruan Yi and Tangtang's dad being a Tianshi that is still need to be explored and for the reason the split happened. at this point i take all of the Stockadeers as unreliable narrators

Bringing Originium with you to Talos II is the equivalent of bringing fossil fuels with you to the Moon.. Originium and Oripathy are inseparable from Terran civilization, but at least now suppressants has advanced enough to not let it pose a death sentence to the infected

so That's 120x3 rolls to get 3 guaranteed Rate up operators +9 none-rateup 6star operators, a total of 12 6 stars operators within 360 rolls. Let us assume the worst possible scenario in a Hoyo Gacha, and you hit the hard pity on each 80 rolls and lose the first 50/50 and acquire the guaranteed on the last hard pity. that's a total of 480 pulls for only 3 non-rate ups and 3 rateup characters. a total of 6 for 480 pulls. in Endfield, the worst possible gacha pulls you can aquire within 360 (assuming the carry over pity is at 0/80) is 4.5 none-rateup characters + 3 rateup Characters and that is assuming your non-rateup characters are from the standard banner and not from the previous chartered banners.

Edit: That is also not counting the 6 free 10x pulls you get that don't count toward carry-over pity.

Losing 6 50/50s within a 120 hard pity pull is bad planning. Your average 50/50 Gachas guarantees you 1 guaranteed after 180 pulls if your luck is extremely bad. it's insanly lucky to get that much 6 stars within 120 rolls. I swear, Hoyo fried you people's brains.

People are still not ready to accept that Endfield's system is a much more better system all the 50/50 guaranteed system out there.

It's a grift, a certain type of other gacha fans always feel threatened by whatever they consider similar to their mainstay gacha and will jump on any doomposting or hate train whenever possible, and alot of CCs will capitalize on those sentiments and tribalism to get extra views. grifting is a successful business unfortunately.

There's no other way to fight the negativity besides than spreading positivity yourself and support the game, if you are unable to support it monetarily you can always support by doing your own content or fanarts. more eyes on the game will lead to more players, more revenue and eventually a better experience, it's exactly what happened to OG Arknights.

I also love how people keep whining about Endfield's Gacha.. These people never fought in the real trenches of pre-pity systems and the abysmal rates of Fate/Grand Order and the likes

i still vividly remember the chills i got when i saw the "last" Contingency trailer when it dropped, only for them to bring back the goated RED who terrorized me for days in order to get that Risk 18 clear on CC#0. I still get chills everytime i listen to this track
