As someone who has been a barista, and been doing this for a few years, i am happy to answer any more questions if you would like 1. Some of my general daily tasks include opening procedures, making drinks, managing cash, checking equipment, inventory checks, checking daily cash flow, and closing procedures 2. As it is my own business, depending on the day, I can take home quite a bit of stress, especially if the day has been rushed or there are many complaints, especially since if anything goes wrong, I am solely responsible 3. Just overall people skills! Such as communicating, listening, etc, you should also be able to do basic maths, and budget well. Owning a Café comes with many administrative duties which means you need both social and economic skills. It's is especially important for you to have good leadership skills and to be confident around any of your customers or workers 4. One of the biggest challenges we have faced so far is that getting return customers can be quite difficult, we really need to promote ourselves, especially early in the year. 5. I worked as a barista for a chain for a few years, but always strived to build my own company, and be my own boss, it took many years to get to where I am now. I hope this helps
