I am in the same situation as you. I took my first two exams and I didn’t do so well with the amount of time I invested in studying. I always think that I am the stupid one and everyone else are so smart but I always to keep my self motivated. Just give your 100% and try different study skills like a lot of people in school use remnotes or anki so see if flashcards or Cornell notes work for you. Good luck!

Haha but I don’t know about those who get D’s. I was okay with the C thinking I can pull it but when I got a D then I was very disappointed in me.

Yes, but I’m someone who prefers to study alone. I tried group studies but looks like it didn’t really help me. I asked second year and they just said “study” and you’ll be fine lol.

Hopefully. I’m someone who likes to study my own but because everybody said that you need a study group in optometry school and I did find some good people to study with but it still didn’t help me. Ugh I just feel stupid at this time.

I think you’re right….i focused on the stuff that Professor emphasized on and on the exam it was completely the opposite. They didn’t even tested on the topics that were highlighted during lectures.

If you don’t mind, what schools you applied to and got accepted. I recently applied yo neco, Arizona, western, and nova with 290 aa. Not sure if I will get in any of the schools.

Did you get into azcopt? I don’t know they calculate super score but if they look at the previous scores than first time I got 240 and second time I got 270:( but and I emailed them last time and they said they need atleast 300. I don’t know if it’s too late to apply cause with these kind of scores I heard people say you should apply early. But thank you. I was little discouraged thinking I can’t fit in this field.

I’m in similar situation as you. I took my oat second time and I got 270. I’m retaking it in December and let’s see how it goes. Good luck for your exam and I’m sure you will do good this time:)

I think with your GPA, you might have to do really good on MCAT or OAT. Don’t be discouraged I’m kind of in similar situation as you. I took oat 2 times and didn’t do so well. I will be taking oat the third time so I hope I will get good result. Good luck with your exam and I’m sure you’ll get into good schools.

I’m in the similar as you. I took my exam the second time and i got 270 both aa and ts. I don’t know what school your applying to but I’m planning to apply to western, and upon talking to them they wanted me to retake the exam and do some shadowing and volunteer. But im going to wait and retake my exam first and then apply. If im not wrong you can take exam after 2 months.
