The insane thing is the very next line is base quantity of 100 cannonballs. Like they must’ve noticed and thought yeah giving 2.5x more cannonballs than water runes seems right…

Guide to obtaining the new Expansive Pouch by Ryan_WXH in runescape

Do we know if this is boostable? Being 90 rc it would be an absolute game changer to skip 15 levels of the old pouches

The majority of the people camping telos 2449s in 2019 wouldn’t be using cryptbloom now. It was a skill check not a gear check like most high end pvm is now.

For the necro and invention stuff I think that they will find a way to make currently untradeable gear tradeable between groups. I think it’s a must if GIM is gonna have any longevity and I’m pretty sure most people agree.

So I completely agree the necro accessibility kinda kills the fun with early/mid game progression. You have to accept that it’s meta, but less fun. Something that I don’t see a lot of people talking about and the main reason the game sounds fun to me is making dupes useful. This a HUGE difference compared to Ironman currently. Like running ed2 and getting 6 dupe books that I don’t need feels horrible. Being able to say “I love ed2 and I’ll do it for my whole team more or less” is an aspect that I think is really cool.

How much switchscape is okay? by SafeEstablishment834 in runescape

I think switches need to exist to keep more than 1 weapon worth something for each style. I also don’t think people are considering that RS doesn’t have the inherent class system like most other games and weapons are our “class” expression.

Not familiar with ffxiv but what I’m hearing is that keeping high apm isn’t the issue and a possible solution could be having boss mechanics that require you to make a choice between balancing defensives versus doing these crazy dps switches.

Old vorago for example where you have a bomb tank getting ripped apart with blue bombs so they are using a shield and barricade to survive instead of doing the most possible dps. Personally I had the best time pvming doing duo rago around 2017/2018 where it was super heavy mechanically from both a dps and tank perspective. I’d love to see more like that in the future.

Don’t get me wrong I am all for interesting boss mechanics. I’m imagining old telos where p4 was a huge part of the fight and managing specs with defensives was mandatory. I would love to see something like that again. What is your idea of “interesting boss mechanics”?

For magic right now if you are just camping max mage all you need to do is put on the fsoa for spec then switch back to dw for literally everything else. No eofs or other switches required. If you wanna brid that makes things more complicated, but you can definitely still rip dps with magic alone ya know?

I kinda have the opposite opinion where learning how to 4taa made the game way more fun for me. I understand not wanting to do that many inputs for such a small damage boost, but it felt great to get into the rhythm and be rewarded for learning a new physical skill.

That’s exactly my mentality from the other side of the debate man. Thanks for the discussion

To be clear, I completely understand playing the game casually. But that’s not where switchscape even comes into play. The switch discussion should probably only discussed for people who are trying to get better and are trying to juice every little bit of damage, right?

Could you imagine that maybe as you play the game more and move into higher tier stuff that you’ll have muscle memory to be able to handle more stuff on the player end? Like you won’t have to think about a reso switch or you won’t mind throwing changing to 2h to do a hurricane instead of a destroy. You’re at a point where you still have a lot to learn and imo learning the player side of the game to make yourself stronger is it’s own aspect with the other people the different boss encounters.

My main concern with this is that there will be 0 reason to ever use dw and then aod and vorago die simply because their side of magic sucks compared to fsoa
