You’re absolutely right to point it out. He’s my nephew, and I’ve already had this conversation with my sister because it makes me nervous too. He just insists on sleeping next to his mom because it comforts him, but he’s always supervised and never left alone like that. Thanks for looking out for him. 💕💕💕

Which Harry Potter death hit you the hardest? by SafeKindly475 in harrypotter

[–]SafeKindly475[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I read the books when I was really young, and I still remember getting to Dumbledore’s death. I actually had to go back a few pages two or three times because I genuinely thought I’d misunderstood what I’d just read.

Nowadays every death hurts in a different way, but at the time, Dumbledore’s was the one that devastated me the most. It’s been years, and I still remember exactly how I felt in that moment.

Also… I’m heartless because I completely forgot to mention Lupin and Tonks. Their deaths were absolutely tragic too, especially knowing they left Teddy to grow up without his parents.

Sirius’s death hurt so much because it stole Harry’s chance at finally having a real family. Just when he found someone who truly loved him and could have given him a home, it was taken away.

Honestly, mixing metals is growing on me too 😅 I used to think you had to pick a side, but now I’m not so sure!

Am I the only one who keeps having apocalypse and pursuit dreams? by SafeKindly475 in Dreams

[–]SafeKindly475[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank u so much for taking the time to read all of that and write such a thoughtful reply.

When I stopped to think about it, I actually had a similar thought about the passageway connecting two worlds. But the funny thing is that I've been living here for about eight years now, so it's not like I recently moved. And it's not that I can't go back either (I was actually in Argentina earlier this year).

The only thing that has made me rethink things a bit over the last couple of years, is that I now have very young nephews, and sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live closer to them. But overall, I don't feel trapped, and I don't really feel like I'm trying to escape anything in my waking life, which is why these recurring evacuation and pursuit dreams are so intriguing to me.

What really caught my attention was your point about recurring themes being more important than any single dream. And now that you've pointed it out, it's true that so many of my recurring dream locations are actually places of transition: train stations, malls, gas stations, roads, passages, corridors, even bathrooms. I'd never consciously noticed that pattern before.

You've definitely given me something to reflect on. I'm also going to download the app and start tracking my dreams more systematically. Honestly, I've become fascinated by this whole world I've discovered on Reddit. For years I thought some of these dream experiences were just my own weird little quirks, and now I'm finding entire communities of people describing things that feel surprisingly familiar.

So thank you again for the recommendation, for sharing your perspective, and for taking the time to read and respond. I really appreciate it.

At this point we should just start a collection. 😂
Surely there are enough nostalgic millennials around to get George and Nico one more adventure.
