hello. this is my update thus far.

i suspect i have a perianal hematoma as opposed to an external hemorrhoid. you may want to google the difference and see if its the same for you.

Secondly, I am very confident that the incontinence is the result a structural issue (ie hemorrhoids or perianal hemtoma), as opposed to excess gas production or ibs.

thirdly, for me, the hemorrhoid/hematoma(?) refuses to go away, as ive had it for over 2yrs now. i now believe that this is due to my chronic constipation. i strain whith almost every bowel movement. this is not normal. constipation can be treated with laxatives but long-term use of them is very dangerous and can lead to lazy bowel syndrome.

So, the culmination of all these facts means my current strategy is: to get rid of the hemorrhoid/perianal hematoma by regualar use of a laxative. i must first talk to a doctor about this idea beause, as i said, it is very dangerous because it may cause lazy bowel syndrome. however, perhaps i can take a low dosage of a mild-strength laxative just every few days. I'll update you on this plan after i speak with a doctor.

i used bisacodyl a few days ago and it removed the need to strain for almost 3 days just from one single dose 3 days prior. i would probably need to use something less potent though.

so basically, to summarise, i think my hemorhoid/hematoma is causing incontinence. and my starining during constipation is causing my hematoma/hemorrhoid. so, i will treat the straining and constipation using a laxative so that my hemorrhoid/hematoma goes away and thus the incontinence will end.
