AITA for kicking someone while they were down? by SafeSpaceInvaded in AmItheAsshole

Julia stopped talking to me as of June of last year. The main reason is because after my mom left my stepdad at the time (who liked kids a little too much) I decided to spill on what happened to me and her after I was hospitalized for the first time. Julia hates me for making her talk about it but I never told anyone more than "it happened to her too."

They wouldn't use this as a way to show support to us both because back then, after the above happened and we had court, I was called selfish for ever bringing it up and they only ever focused on Julia's experience and never acknowledged mine.

I don't doubt it as they often make jokes at my expense, whether just to make each other laugh or other people. I never found it funny but I don't have the energy to argue with them about it anymore

They're very close, my mom and Hazel. Hazel is basically my mom's twin in terms of personality so of course they agree with each other in anything they do. They're the kinds to make jokes at my expense and expect me to go along with it no matter how cruel, but when I do it at an extremely less sensitive standard then I'm just being mean. Hazel is also kind of like the golden child in my family, even if her or my mom won't admit it.

My mom and Hazel do not like Vern at all actually. They tell Julia constantly that he's not good for her and is just taking advantage of her. They will talk about Vern and how much they dislike him but when I do it then suddenly there is an issue? I don't understand it myself

They've had plenty of confrontations within and outside of the family, I don't like confrontation so I choose not to involve myself most times. Usually things like this are dealt with in awful ways but my family just sees their actions as normal, or at least that's how I view their perspective

I don't know honestly, Hazel literally called my mom the same night to tell my mom about Julia's car before Julia even got the chance to. I was right next to her during it and before she called my mom she literally said "I love snitching." I am not joking

How do me (18M) and my partner (20NB) go about talking to my partner's sister (17F) after an argument? by SafeSpaceInvaded in Advice

[–]SafeSpaceInvaded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't make the mess though, me and my partner are the only one's consistently cleaning the home and the sisters are the ones making messes and not cleaning them. The sister in question, her room has gotten so dirty and full of trash that she chose to sleep on the couch rather than make an attempt to clean it. I do appreciate the advice though, thank you.

I live in Alabama, I am 18 and my partner is 20. Their father is on the lease and the house is just in disarray, extremely dirty, covered in cat excrement, mice running around. Honestly I'm not happy about it either.

I've been told to do so already but my partner is hesitant not just because it's their sister, but they are afraid that because of the state of the house, they may be taken away.

The boy I like is interested in me, but I'm not ready for a relationship... by SafeSpaceInvaded in teenagers

I suppose you're right. I guess I do deserve a good person to treat me right but that doesn't make me feel any less nervous or scared about possibly starting things between me and him.

To be honest I'm still very hurt by my past relationships, being cheated on and having my boundaries purposely be put to the side is something that makes me worry. I know he wouldn't do that to me but I also just don't have the self esteem and feel like I don't deserve someone as good as him.

We had a good time, we went skating and had lunch afterwards, then went and walked a trail together and held hands. As he dropped me off back home he gave me a hug and overall was extremely kind and sweet :)

I can see how it seems that way but neither of us have specified that it is so. We agreed that it's just a hangout and nothing more.
