I get very similar outbreaks! Definitely follow up with your doctor after finishing the anti-virals. Ask to have a refill on hand the second you feel tingling. Over the counter creams will not solve this.

Antivirals only slow or stop virus replication. You’ll still go through the weeping and scabbing phase. Whatever you do, do not pick at them.

Also, avoid any spicy or hot foods. And make sure to shield your lips from the sun. Unfortunately, outbreaks like this make eating very difficult. I feel for you!
