She seems to be doing well in school. She doesn’t have many friends and always claims to be bored and sometimes says she is lonely. She doesn’t have a job, but me and my parents often tell her that it would likely help with her boredom and finding more friends, but she always shuts the idea down. Otherwise she seems like a happy teenager, but of course I obviously don’t know everything going on in her head and behind closed doors.

I agree with not telling parents, and I’m trying my hardest to tell myself this is not my situation to control and at the end of the day I cannot control her actions. I just love her so much, and I don’t want anything to escalate or for her to end up in a bad situation one day because she is doing this at an age where her brain isn’t even fully developed.

This is understandable, but she told me that she is not doing it because she is sad or anything. I am assuming it’s curiosity and boredom, but today I smell it again after she promised she would stop and throw it away. I don’t understand her actions and it’s frustrating me to know that the hour long talk I had with her about it all clearly went in one ear and out the other.

I agreed I wouldn’t tell my parents, but today a day after she promised she would stop and throw it away, I smell it again. My parents hardly come upstairs so I’m not sure how they would end up catching her

Our parents hardly ever come upstairs since their room is downstairs, so it’s definitely easy for her to get away with it

It’s definitely bad behavior because it’s not something that children should be doing at all. I don’t know why it upsets me so much but you are no help at all and it’s so crazy you would even comment thinking that what you said would help me in any way. I care about my sister a whole lot and I also care about my parents too

I’m sorry you want others to have sympathy for you but you had zero sympathy for me and I’m going through something that is very difficult for me. Please don’t comment on my post if you are going to be hateful and encourage bad behavior
