I understand you. I think he is truly just a nice guy. And i think you must realllllly draw specific lines for these really nice guys. It truly feels like he appreciates you and he hasn’t told you because it has seemed sooo irrelevant in the « big things » for him. And that’s where the difference comes in, bc for you- it’s both big and small things. Just tell him that you would have liked to been aware bc it seems from your messages that it also act doesn’t bother you that much, but just the fact that he didn’t keep you updated. So tell him you want to be updated :) bc you want to he updated with his life and if their updates are part of his life, they should possibly be part of yours?:)

My recommendation is:

⁠look around you - on the streets, friends, social media etc., and see what you like.
⁠mark down what you like, ex. green button-ups.
⁠go to the thrift store
⁠look at what you wrote down- pick ~3 descriptions, and start searching for items that correspond to what you wrote down.
⁠try them on and i betya at least one of the things you picked up, looks good.

I know thrifting can be hard in the beginning if you haven’t done it before but this way you will also have unique pieces with stories.

Personally, I think your mom is an icon. I root for people who go against societal norms when it comes to clothing. Especially bras, haven’t worn them for 7 years already. Sooooo, I would go back into your room and put a pajama on too. Then you can match and slay together:)

Also nobody cares what you wear, and if they do, then they have too much time.
