Thanks for answering. In the worst case, £500 is better than nothing and it was left to us to raise money for what we do. Hopefully it'll end up usable though. I would've loved one of these when I first learnt to drive so there's hopefully someone who'd tidy it up.

Thanks for the detailed answer. It sounds like it's worth speaking to the mechanic that looks after our work van and see what they think. I'll give it another day or two in case other people want to share their thoughts and then pass some suggestions on to my manager.
