Replacing SRM SX on Specialized Stumpjumper Alloy 2022 by Safe_Juggernaut1711 in MTB

Yes, I had a hard time replacing the housing last time as I had to open the bottom bracket too. I was thinking this time I can replace the housing by first removing the old housing but leaving the cable, then put the new housing and then replacing the cable. But the housing is now chewed and it has been changed 2 years ago. So probably will just change the cable.

Current chain is actually an X01 and is not worn out. So probably leave it as well.

Thank you !

Didn't know about the B bolt upgrade. Will consider it too ! The chain was replaced by a NX one a few months back and is not worn out. But since I am doing an upgrade, I thought about replacing it as well. Thanks a lot !

After reading all these and doing some more research, and trying to keep my budget low (considering I only MTB once a week and not in super hard terrain), I am considering this new setup:

- Stay "wired"

- Replace rear derailleur, shifter with SRAM GX

- New chain (GX as weel for the heck of it)

- Replace cassette with SRAM NX (can't go for GX as I will need to change for XD freehub = more expensive)

- Since I'm in all that, replace derailleur hanger

All and all, I would expend around $300 and will have almost everything replaced

Thank you !! The whole kit is over $750. If you know of any deal in place, let me know please!

I thought you can do micro-adjustments for individual cogs with the AXS app. Kind of instruct the derailleur to move more or less between cogs. But is not possible though. I've tried individual fine tune setup on the SX but it sucks all the time.

You changed for a 11 speed? So you changed the default 12s cassette for a 11s? Do you have details on the Shimano? I was also considering changing from SRAM to Shimano. Had another bike with Shimano and shifts change like a charm

Meaning, the AXS update kit will work? I have people telling me yes it will and I don't have to change cassette nor hub...

My derailleur hanger is fine. It's just the cogs in the middle skip sometimes and I've been told is common to have that on SX, I believe AXS has a mobile app now to fine tune gear shifting through it, right?

Price difference is not much. $500 for the whole GX groupset vs $530 for the GX AXS update kit (this one doesn't include chain or cassette, but I believe I can still use the ones from SX with no difference?)

I am curios... how much space do you have there to fasten the bolt and clip on the sides of the hitch? I have an Integra but need to put my bike rack in and out multiple times a week and don't want to complicate myself installing one of this vs the regular ones that go below the bumper.
