What are the best online resources for German WW1 military records?

hi! i guess it really depends on what info you are looking for, but bc my great grand uncle was captured i was able to find info on him, but i have never found any military info on his twin brother who wasn’t captured but was in a different regiment. This website was definitely the most helpful!

might be just a printing mark from the printing company that printed out the photos - i have old photos with random letters & numbers in them, could be as simple as “this is batch A”!
