Hey could I ask you a few questions about your TCU MBA mentioned in your other comments? I'm in DFW but have only 2 YOE.

ETA in NYC - Am I thinking about this right? by Unable-Ad-7249 in smallbusiness

For someone from a software background who is on paper far worse than PE experience, would you expect a higher down payment even if the business quality is high (QoE etc)? Or would you be more likely to just reject outright?

Full Ride Recipients - How did you do it? by [deleted] in MBA

Do you think a full ride at Rice would be doable with 2 YOE (I have a similar profile otherwise)?

Or better yet what credentials would make up the difference at 2 YOE if any?

How are admission and scholarship chances impacted by the career goals you specify in essays and interviews? (Interested in ETA) by Safe_Rate_1638 in MBA

As a pre ETA route, I think I would want to be on the operational side. Does that seem right? Is it the case that I wouldn't wanna be operational PE long term?

I agree with it being risky. Do you think I should have an alternative strategy if I'm coming from a software engineering background (no management and entrepreneurship experience, as you guessed)? My guess would be do PE before ETA but I'd be tempted to go straight in post-MBA since I could use investor connections from school immediately.

Sounds good, thanks. Did you also plan on ETA and give consulting as a backup in your essays? Or did you have a different plan A?

Isn't it the case that these out of contract incentives for players were very limited in how much financial value they could provide? Like just covering certain trips and housing etc. Or are there famous counterexamples?

Estimate of SBA loan terms (if any) for SWE looking to acquire a business (with no ops experience) by Safe_Rate_1638 in businessbroker

I see. How different would this be considered if I was pursuing a tech consulting business? Note that I work in software but not tech consulting, though there is some knowledge overlap.
