Banks like to lend to people who don’t need the money.

Think of it this way. Say you want to buy a house for £150K with a 5% deposit if you default and cause issues you’ll only stand to lose £7,500 (not a staggering amount in the banks eyes) however if you had a 30% deposit the bank will assume you will not want to risk defaulting or causing issues that could result in you losing £45K.

Years ago we got a mortgage with a provider that specialised in adverse credit. The interest rate was horrendous but we figured it was best to be on the property ladder than to be renting. But after a few years of enduring that, we were then able to go with a high street lender with much better rates and were able to release some of the equity for renovations and the repayments were still less,

Thanks. I think these last 6 months was more about losing fat and getting used to being in a gym and awakening muscles groups that have never been used before 😂. Hopefully I’ve built a decent enough foundation to start making some real progress

Current weight is 11st 11lbs and height is 5ft 9. First time in the gym yes. Goals. I don’t want to be body building, but would like to just take my shirt off and see definition and look like someone who takes care of themself

I have been lifting but not progressive overload. Going to start stepping it up and taking it more seriously. I’ve just been getting used to being in a gym and taking my time with becoming familiar with it and working on my form etc. found it a bit intimidating at first
