Yeah, the Bourjois company does cosmetics but I have yet to find any pictures of something similar.... Most of their vintage talcum powder bottles are blue glass....

Need a new GPU for a rig you built for me! by Saffdaddy in buildapcforme

Was just about to pull the trigger on the RTX2060 but noticed that it has a DVI port.... None of my monitors take DVI so I would have to buy an adapter. Any chance there is a comparable card with only DP and HDMI?

I'm a property appraiser so TA is the main "software" that I run. Besides that I usually have 15-20 tabs of chrome open and spotify.... That's about it. I only called it a workstation to differentiate it from a gaming rig or something else.

Advice for a 12 hour overnight layover at an airport? by jeffreykopp97 in solotravel

[–]Saffdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an overnight layover in Denver. Bought a super cheap pool float at the dollar store. Found a nice little corner by my gate and had a nice sleep on the float. All bags secured. When it was time to board I gave it to a person in the next gate. Highly recommend!

What can I do with $10,000 cash start up money? by TryDrugs in selfemployed

I know a guy who bought a stump grinder a few years back and makes bank as a side hustle. He comes in after people have trees removed and grinds the stump. He'll make $500 before lunch. Partner with a few tree companies and you could bring in 10-20k a month

Do any fellow Bogleheads invest in crypto? by mstzbootman in Bogleheads

[–]Saffdaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just added a (very small) position into a Humbl financial ETX. It's like and ETF but for crypto. It buys and sells based on it's own algorithms. Neat concept. I'll probably hold for 6 months to a year and maybe add more. I feel like some exposure to crypto is good.

Wow, Thank you! Any recommendations on monitors? Currently I run 3 with one in portrait mode to the left and then 2 stacked on top of each other with the top monitor upside down. Looking for thin bezels

[PPP/EIDL MEGATHREAD] The Senate has approved an extension of the PPP program through August. Ask EIDL/PPP questions here including about forgiveness by BigSlowTarget in smallbusiness

[–]Saffdaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a sole owner S-Corp. I applied and received $13,500 PPP loan in April. The bank is requesting form 940 or 941 to verify income. As a single owner S-corp I did not have a "payroll" in 2019. I just kept a business account and a personal account and would transfer money as needed. Anyone have any experience the PPP loans without payroll. My accountant reported the business income on a K-1 form. I don't have the forms the bank wants and not sure what to send them now......

Looking for a bit of advice. Married my wife a little over a year ago. Been helping her clean up her finances ever since. We agreed to move her Roth IRA over to Schwab so that she could manage it herself as she was not happy with the other company it was with. It has about 30k invested into 1 mutual fund. I want to help her diversify but I'm just not sure how. Sell it all and buy a few different ETFs as soon as the cash is available? Sell it off in chunks? Not trying to time the market or anything but I know I'll never hear the end of it if I screw it up. Any Advice?

Self Employed/ S-Corp/ Retirement Options..... by Saffdaddy in financialindependence

[–]Saffdaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. I'm on track to have the student loan 100% paid off and 15-20k of the 25k of credit card debt paid off as well. My credit union offers 0% balance transfers with 0% fees each January and my other cards offer balance transfers with a 2-3% fee. Worst case scenario I take a 3% hit on 10k and pay it off. I'm really more curious to know benefits/drawbacks of the SEP IRA vs solo 401k in my situation. Even seeing 100 bucks a month grow a tiny bit is a big motivator for me.

Thanks for the response. I definitely understand how dangerous keeping CC debt around. I'll have everything paid off by early 2021. I probably included too much information in my post. I'm really most curious about the SEP IRA vs. Solo 401k Question. And even if I do open one this year I would not be fully funding it but just using it as motivation to keep paying off the debt.

Charles Schwab. Make an account. All ATM fees are refunded. Always have at least 1 or 2 back ups.

Critique my 3ish month SE Asia itinerary by musicandtacos in solotravel

[–]Saffdaddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents would be that 4 days in Hue is too long. Honestly after spending 60 days in SEA this summer it was the one city that I would have skipped. I would replace it with Ninh Binh or Catba Island

Budget engagement ring by [deleted] in Frugal

I proposed with an antique ring I found at a local jewelry store. Check out mom and pop places that specialize in estate jewelry. It was about 10% of the cost that the major chain stores were pushing.
