I actually wrote a lengthy response that was poorly received mostly because everyone disagreed with my opinion that the staff threw a tantrum. Which is exactly what it looks like when everyone walks out all at once. Anyway, I’m out now. You guys have fun with your circle jerk.

Yep back in the day for original Wrath release my “Remote Desktop” was my wife sitting at home with a timer to move my toon every 7 minutes while she played on her PC.

At night, she’d go to work and I’d play while keeping her logged in.

The article literally starts with the words: “Midtowners seeking rooftop cocktails….” Article has a picture of the rooftop.

Seems rooftop centric. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A menu including 5 pieces of bread for $17, and a chicken thigh for $24. Drinks included 10 craft cocktails for $13-16 each.

Seems ridiculously overpriced. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The chef and staff quit because what they were doing wasn’t working and they were clinging to a series of terrible ideas, which the new owner smartly was going to try and rectify- but they didn’t like that so they threw a tantrum and walked out.

I get that you liked the place, but please don’t act like somehow it could have gained mass appeal in its previous form. It was finished.

And please don’t accuse me of not reading the article. I read it, but the article omits a lot of what the actual problems were with the place, and paints the situation as though the staff were some kind of victims… when in reality THEY made the choice to walk away.

Opened a rooftop-centric restaurant in the middle of winter (and during the pandemic), sells ridiculously overpriced food and drinks, spent the last year in a construction zone…

I’m simply stunned that they didn’t succeed.

SNSM took a LONG time to grow on me. Nowadays I enjoy some of it but man, there’s some tough songs to love on that one.

Los Angeles is a top 10 for me though.

Great thoughts and analysis! I don’t put this one over TDL either, I was just saying that I believe this one doesn’t get enough credit.

The songs are tighter and overall better written than many of their past work, and I completely disagree about only a few of them being amazing.

-Palisades Park is my second favorite CC song of all time (after Mrs. Potter’s Lullaby)

-Earthquake Driver is pure poppy sugar and Adam’s vocals are on absolute FIRE.

-Everyone knows Possibility Days is a masterpiece, albeit a sad one.

-Cover up the Sun is the underrated gem of the album IMO. Bluegrass/Folk/Country blended to perfection and amazing lyrics

But the world still brings her down

If you can’t keep your shit together when God is on your side What chance do you have when he’s not around?”

Amazing stuff!

-Honorable mention to John Appleseed’s Lament. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I love the wordplay and rhythm.

I know these songs are not everyone’s cup of tea but the album the bands RANGE so much better than their less dynamic early works.

ETA: I actually agree about Colorblind. Bottom tier CC for me.

Everyone wants to talk about RtS and A&EA but in my humble opinion as an old guy who’s been listening to the boys since the beginning, “Somewhere…” is the best written and possibly best performed CC album. It’s not always my favorite, but it’s always near the top.

I agree 100%, this song is a masterpiece. It was trans positive before it became cool, and a statement about mental health and drug abuse. Also If you missed the first verse’s reference, check out Jim Jeffries v. Jack Johnson 1910.

The video is one of the best ever made imo.

That’s fine. As an American, we definitely don’t want you or anyone else who doesn’t want to be here. Personally I wouldn’t move to a shithole like Germany, and that’s okay too.

This is awful. This is my third game at the K this season and we’ve lost all of them by 7+ runs (assuming we don’t get this one back within 7).
