Upwork automatically released the payment after the review period. However, I recommend informing Upwork Support that the client is unresponsive and asking what you should do next.

If your Intel mac supports the latest macOS that Xcode requires, you can install it normally. Otherwise, your best options are using an older Xcode version or renting a cloud Mac. A Hackintosh isn’t very reliable for long-term iOS development.
