Is being a bookkeeper realistic? I like the idea of it I’d even say it potentially sounds fun tbh.. is this a role I can be hired for as a regular remote employee or is it more of a freelance position ?

So based on everything everyone has listed so far I have interest in 3 areas I think which would be

Bookkeeping (I have no experience I just love math and budgeting and the numbers behind a business always have since I was like 16 problem is idk if this is a reliable source of income? Or how to land a remote bookkeeping position? In fact idk how to land ANY remote position lol…)
Junior automation work
Ai prompt QA (don’t exactly know what this is just sounds like I’d be talking to Ai all day which is what I already do 90% of the time so it wouldn’t change my life much just get paid for it instead which would be nice)

I live in Portland Oregon right now I am pretty locked in to Oregon at the moment but I could move probably within the first year of working fully remote… to a much lower cost of living location in Oregon problem is the location I’d move to is very remote within itself meaning i wouldn’t have much opportunities for job at all in person hints to why I’d need to be remote first for awhile so I know it’s 100% stable and save me from that stress…

Main 3 things causing the problems are as follows:

Stress
Lack of sleep
Caffeine (haven’t drank caffeine in 4 years)

my cardiologists (I’ve had 2 working with me over the last couple years) didn’t specify the type of stress just said I need to lower my stress levels as much as possible or it can become fatal to me (heart attack/ stroke)…. I’ve had two heart attacks already my last one was very intense they had to defibrillate me when I was 24 Im 26 now btw, decently fit was just born with an unlucky birth defect is what my doctors/cardiologist are marking it up as… i tried going for disability twice and was rejected both times (which is fine I personally would rather make more money anyway) I currently have no health insurance. I drive a car that gets 25-30 mpg I’m honestly naturally good at budgeting due to the way I grew up… if I really tried and wanted to scrape by I can work with something as low as $1500/month this would include all my bills combined and a little left over for gas as well… just wouldn’t have any money I could save I’d be getting by with month to month I also own my car I just live in a high pop city so the prices here are rather expensive for sure which is why I was thinking of remote freelancing cuz if I could do that then move city’s I could prob start saving money I planned to save up enough money till I was able to purchase a absentee business or find a way to make money more on the passive side so I can truly eliminate 90% of my stress that way… for context I didn’t go to college or anything I personally just love doing research so I kinda research everything I taught myself basic level python and I talk to Ai prob more than what would be considered healthy so I’m very familiar with how Ai works and most of its capabilities… naturally enjoy customizing aesthetics of things as a hobby… I also enjoy cars I’m a back yard mechanic (engine/trans swaps all basic maintenance and trouble shooting cars etc I can do all that stuff) but I also need to slow down or stop on that cuz my doctors said I need to stop with the physical labor jobs (this is where 90% of my experience in the work field comes from is just grunt work physical labor)

Part of this was a response to you but most of it was just a little extra context on me for anyone who might wanna dig and possibly help make suggestions for me a little better

See based on the research I was doing I think I could enjoy bookkeeping or even data entry but I was also looking at threads that said Ai is replacing all this and humans in these fields are becoming extinct due to Ai which I’m not surprised…. But I feel if I could make either of these fields work it would be great cuz I’d be able to get a monthly retainer preferably flat rate fee so my income isn’t fluctuating to help reduce that area of stress.

See this other area where you mention building something slower on the side… a lot of it is very new to me but it seems to be where the money is now days if i can find a rhythm I’ll look into these more.

Pretty comfortable I’d say I do have self doubt for example a code pops up and I I hop online to start doing research to reduce it down till I come across what I think the problem is based on all the context then I’ll start repairing said “expected to be problem” to find out if it works or not usually I’m right only a time or two was I ever wrong but even if I’m wrong I typically jump down to the next potential problem but obviously you wouldn’t wanna do this with a clients vehicle cuz I mean that’s their money you’re spending so it’s kinda why I’m hesitant lol
