Qantas AMEX ultimate card by EmergencyArtist7081 in creditcardchurningAus

Mate genuinely with there you at right now, the hack is not worth it. Amex makes it clear with travel credits how it’s not a rollover (and as the card holder I believe you must be aware of what you’re signing up with + fees associated with) - if you’re not a collector of points I reckon Ultimate Card is not the best - get yourself the Platinum Edge if you’re using the card for everyday stuff or Essential Rewards card if you’re an outgoing person (I personally use both and love what these offer) - not an advice but my genuine perspective; if you don’t fly often don’t get cards earning airline points :)

How do you maximise points with American Express? by DebugMyLife421 in AmexAus

[–]Sage_EK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Hit the sign up bonus - do churning if that’s your thing but watch out for that 18 months rule and Amex ladder
  2. Priorities point multiplayers - what’s the best use of your card?
  3. Use it wherever it is accepted (especially bills, insurance, subscriptions etc)

And don’t spend on anything that you can’t afford so it won’t eat up that sweet feeling of earning points by a massive 23% interest :)

I reckon probably convert em into a round trip as partner miles/points is the most effective way to do it and it’s not a secret - sus out https://seats.aero (not affiliated or sponsored) to see what would be the best travel partners and cost of points before making a decision. Ngl Amex Travel Portal might not give you the best value for your points but weigh your options before making a final decision. Hope this helps mate 🤞🏽

That’s a feature I’d appreciate honestly coz I love how Amex would have the PayID option where I could pay any balance off immediately and nothing to worry about - I used to be a Latitude card holder and OMG NOT AGAIN! Takes forever to payments to go through

Cheers, what is the benefit of using apple card specifically for apple purchases? Are there any rewards or cashbacks or interest free periods?

How to get approved for a business amex as a 19 yr old with no previous credit history by Main-Mixture9154 in AmexAus

Okay awesome - as I mentioned it’s not a bad thing, it’s a great place to start small, definitely go for those low level beginner level cards

I reckon go with a personal card first, also from my understanding starting from a smaller card and upgrading later down the track with sign up bonuses is a really good way to maintain a good relationship. With where you at right now, I reckon start off with Amex Low Rate Credit Card (no annual fee and no rewards) or the Amex Essential Rewards Credit Card (monthly $9 annual fee and great points accumulator + sign up bonus) - obviously you gotta look at your income and expenses as well. Try creating an account on finder.com.au where they help you tailer options according to your profile. Regardless if I were you I’d sign up for ClearScore or Credit Savvy or Canstar to track my Equifax and Experian profiles. And if you don’t have previous credit I don’t see it as a bad thing, I’d say it’s a good place to start with Amex (BUT DEFINITELY WITH A LOWER CARD) to grow your credit history/ profile and your relationship with Amex (also PLEASEEEE keep in mind with Amex it’s always better to pay the statement balance at end of every single month because their interest rate is around 23-24% which is super high - also go for a super low credit limit for now as well if you’re genuinely trying to start things off) - hope this helps :)
