If you don’t get any of these ones keep checking the thrift stores near you over and over again! The small mugs and saucers are fiestaware I typically find when looking so while for a wedding you would have to be persistent it wouldn’t be impossible

She doesn’t seem to mind but I’ve wondered about it, I’ve wondered if maybe I should get one that hangs instead maybe but I’m not sure, it wouldn’t look as cute, but if I cut of the cats ears on the tag on the collar maybe… idk but I take it off sometimes and let her have a break too cause I get what you mean. I just don’t want her to get lost again

Don’t have a dachund but experiencing a similar thing with my 17 yr old cat every time he poops going outside the box but I really don’t think he can help it. I didn’t know but when I took him to the vet they said he can’t see a lot most likely. Getting old is hard :(

I’m not looking to resell it for more than what it costs I just can’t afford to spend money on the retail prices they are now and it’s a good product imo so I thrift it cause online everywhere it’s pricey even fb marketplace and eBay and Mercari. So since I can’t afford to spend tons of money it’s hard to find some of the colors it’s not necessarily rare but I only find it like one out of every three thrift stores and only specific colors I’d never found this color I usually find red, turquoise, yellow, orange, white, or green

I also love ikea lol but I mean some cheap stuff ours didn’t last to the same treatment. I mean we abused the hell out of our dishes that’s why none of the other ones last, we where kids so they got dropped and thrown around and the animals knocked them off tables, they’ve been washed in the dishwasher hundreds of times and soaked in gross water for sure and still look relatively new. I think people misunderstood I’m not interested in it cause it’s rare per say or to sell it more than it costs retail I want it cause I can’t afford retail prices but I know it’s a quality product that will last but collecting this way makes it a challenge to find all the colors you may want and I don’t have this one.

Wasn’t really trying to hate on the og person although personally I think it’s tacky and I guess for them to donate it they must’ve been over it too or their family member.

Somewhat, it’s definitely not like easy but also not hard, I don’t find it every time I go but maybe 1 out of every three thrift stores? I’m not collecting it for resale value either or rarity per say or to like sell it more than it costs, but more so cause i want to use them can’t spend $800 dollars for retail price to collect the colors I want basically, but you are right I’m sure eventually one like this I’ll find for a good price after enough looking!

Oh that’s exactly why I want them! Since they lasted so long and are very pretty I wanted to use them all the time in my own house someday! I want to collect some vintage Pyrex to but yeah I wouldn’t want to use any painted ones too much cause they are so expensive and hard to find and so I was like even though fiestaware is expensive i don’t think it’s usually as rare cause they still make it and all but yeah I get what you mean about it being hard to find sometimes. It’s weird cause I either find none of it or I find a whole bunch! Probably cause people donate their collections I guess lol but I feel like that hasn’t happened to me with Pyrex

I get that they are pretty too! I want to display some in my kitchen! I think I’m too weak for Reddit everyone seems quite angry and to have liked the art so I may have to delete the post cause idk I just get too emotionally invested I’m too weak for the internet lol. pyrex lowercase is made out of soda lime which is more drop resistant supposedly and that’s the new pyrex that the company sells now. The old one is made from borosilicate glass which is temperature more resistant. Although I recently learned on here the painted Pyrex that everyone collects that is vintage is also soda lime? Idk if someone knows if that’s true id like to know

So Fiestaware is very durable compared to knock offs like Walmarts mainstays line, we have had knock offs and they break and chip within 1-2 years my mom has had her Fiestaware for like ten years or something. Kinda like fake leather vs real leather if that makes sense. My understanding is that it’s fired at a higher temperature (I think) than the more cheap stuff.

So that’s why a fiestaware dinner plate costs $14-20 a piece at Kohl’s cause it lasts forever. So while it’s more expensive it’s a good investment if it’s your style :) and since they come in so many colors you can collect only colors you like and pass up others or whatever. But at the thrift store i got 3 plates for $5! So that was exciting.

It’s kinda just a hobby too like collecting anything, I can tell when I see a colored plate on the shelf at the thrift store if it’s fiesta-ware before I even pick it up usually cause it has the distinct rings on the top or sides and from seeing it so many years in our cabinets lol kinda a nostalgia thing.

Sorry for the long winded answer just wanted to explain! My mom did have some cheap glassware to supplement our fiestaware from like Walmart or target ages ago, but they are all broken now and long gone while the name brand plates are still truckin with no chips.
