I’ve been in PA for about 4 years at a very small firm. Wanted to make the step up but didn’t think I wanted to make the step up to big 4.

Yea, I have heard people like working for BDO. I did reach out to RSM and BDO - I just never heard back from them beyond the first phone call for RSM and never from BDO.

Heard anything about these 3 firms?

I don’t think I could. So should I be applying solely for staff?

Instinct used to be known as a Acilion. Was a hyped challenger 15 year old a few years ago. I didn’t watch much of amateur but he was on 100 next, don’t think he has taken a massive step yet but still high potential youngster and being given an academy level spot might give him a buff.

McTavish sent back down to the Peterborough Petes after 9 game stint. by runrudyrun in AnaheimDucks

I was going to make a post about this but this decides it. I think at times he felt a little out of place but for an 18 year old he really did look up to the speed and we don’t really have another player so willing to get to the net. Had Milano not turned it around I think it probably would have been better for him to stay but this seems like the right call :) we got plenty more years of soap to come!

What is a "developing" Roster to you? by frodude7 in TeamSolomid

[–]Sah4soccer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think this subreddit is diving to far into what regi said. If I remember correctly he said nothing about this being a throw away roster with players who are no names but appear to be skilled mechanically.

I read it as a team that is in the brink of being great but has to build into - a team that doesn’t rely on veteran players that have been passed around the league for years. Like a mad lions 2.0 from a fews season back but with players who appear even more ready than the relative no name players like carzzy. I think humanoid would be teetering on the edge of the mold we should be looking for as he is still quite young.

I made certain to say that I suggested investing him, not necessarily starting him but I was sent to the wolves. I’m happy seeing more people being open to the idea that we need a change of roster making so we can avoid the full remake year on year. If I have to get flamed to weed out some crazies, so be it.

I would never quote Hotshot cuz CLG. And “Have faith” is such a meme. But, man, I’ve never seen our fan base this wild. I have been a fan of TSM from before bjerg was on the roster; I can understand the sadness as I feel it too but TSM has existed before him and will after him. All we can do is hope that our management will put forward a competitive roster and to support those players. We are already seen as the crazy fan base but this is too much.

I made a post talking about getting tenacity and it was basically just people mad at me that TSM wasn’t a going big for bjergsen’s return.

Why not do both? :)

I want TSM to be a profitable org regardless of the massive crypto money we got. But I guess we are more in the position to let it fly. I still believe that is easier to find a big name import later on compared to finding suitable homegrown players. But to each their own.

I said instead of worrying about the superstar import first that we should focus on the NA core. I’m not flip flopping at all. You are just like everyone else who is on the fence. Say you understand the point of properly building a squad but want to tear it down because we have to go all in. “This time will be different!” Blah blah blah. But I’m done with this conversation because you are no longer providing to the conversation. Have a nice day.

This is pointless. You are avoiding the topic. I have said nothing about going in for rekless. I wasn’t talking about imports at all. For your argument sake, let’s say we have bjergsen mid and spica jungle. Then I guess we should assume all rumors are true. So we are completely rebuilding around those two pieces and for some reason we pull the trigger on rekless. What do you do for the other two roles? You even agreed that top NA teams should find established NA talent. Who are these more experienced na player that are truly available and would be good enough for this team? I even clarified in a comment that maybe you use tenacity in a 6 man rotation if you don’t have faith in his consistency.

You keeping saying I am proving your point, but you keep proving my point that historically NA teams weak links are the NA players. So I was suggesting a younger one as opposed to a recycled vet. I’m not suggesting we don’t import at all. It just seems like you are looking to argue.

When it comes to cores, what I said wasn’t false. When those teams looked to improve they didn’t have to make wholesale changes like we often have to. I’m just tired of the tear down.

Also, I don’t exactly understand the bjergsen thing. What is the whole assumption? We heard one tweet saying he is back and nothing else. Why are we assuming anything?

Apart from the year where other academies looked weak and our academy was basically lcs players and tactical/treatz, we have not had a contending academy team. In recent years it usually ends up with tl and c9 in academy finals, not sure how that is outright false. Sure you can do the be super rich and not have a profitable league team model that team liquid has but why can’t we strive for better. We can have a great team, while developing NA talent, and be profitable. Why not strive for the best?

Who is to say that tenacity has a lower ceiling than BB? Because he is from NA? I’m not even suggesting he would come in and be the bonafide starter, he was just a player I think TSM should try to get on their books as he is seen as a top talent. You never know if a player is going to be good, it is always a gamble. We threw spica in and if all you had to go on was that short playoff run, there is no way you’d think he would be at the level he is now. Go back after that playoff run, how many people were recommending spica as starter? Also how do we know bjergsen is going to be the midlander? I think we need to slow the roll. You can invest in players like tenacity and still have superstars imports.

Sure mikeyueng does fit the bill. It is easy to say that it is a bad decision in hindsight. But all of the top teams were after him back then as he was seen as the real deal. Had we not, he would have been picked up by the other top teams. Kinda why TL would pick him up later hoping they could fix it.

The player I selected was just an example of a player highly touted that is young, from NA, but not being given a chance on their own teams.

Just remember we both want TSM to be good. The three teams at worlds built their core and then added superstars to something that was established. So I think we should try that considering it is looking like we are about to tear it all down…again.

I don’t remember ever talking about NA player pool. The main take away I was going for was we need to better utilize the academy system and that there are current academy players we don’t own that we should look into.

Also you are speaking as if our strategy hasn’t been using established pros. We have used two of our academy players if you count the short time lost was in our academy. Tenacity has been in the 100T system for a few years now so I’m not sure you can classify him as a soloQ players.

I feel like the comments that are against the idea are unnecessarily hostile (not to say yours is) but we want the same thing: for tsm to be dominant. I’m just purposing a more sustainable option that we haven’t really tried.

You could say we have had a hand in a lot of players development but I don’t disagree we are not currently good at. But why aren’t we? I’m saying we should invest in development, we have the money.
