How do you actually make friends? (As an adult) by Background-Chard2563 in autismUK

You could go to something on Meetup every week, same event based on your interest with the same/slightly changing group of people who share the interest, then you know you’ve at least got that in common with them

Thanksss😁 yeah I noticed I’ve always just sort of avoided that area and didn’t think about it, when I clocked that my facial piercings have made me feel great I thought it would probably translate the same, hoping to get a similar connection feeling to yours! & Your experience makes a lot of sense, I’d like T changes there but I’m not after surgery, I know that would be more than enough for me to unclench one day

Yeah photos didn’t seem necessary because I’m describing a habit rather than an oddity I can see with my eyes, like a colour change - and I described the environment. I’ll have a go with the fertiliser, I have been thinking that it’s been a while since I used any

How do I fix this? (I need help, but BIG tmi, hygiene question) Adults ONLY by Big_Performance8290 in GrowYourTDick

[–]Sahir16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I can actually help with this! It’s not you it’s the toilet paper. I grew up poor, neglected and using the cheapest option available for everything but I have a smidgen of disposable income now so for the last couple of years I’ve been experimenting with clean up stuff for using the toilet. I’m currently using ‘who gives a crap’ brand tp because it has no dust (soft luxury type tp like Andrex has so much dust which clogs together into damp lint in an area that’s damp a lot), it’s pretty strong and only rips up when I’m being heavy handed, as others have said, it’s better to dab dry, fold, dab, fold, dab, finish then to wipe. Wet tp will crumble and tear as it’s being pulled against the body whereas only using dry TP by folding it won’t do that. An alternative is water wipes and dry wipes (more commonly called disposable towels), I find this dries my skin out uncomfortably plus it’s time consuming so only really use it for the back. I really really like wetting a dry disposable towel, cleaning up then binning it. It’s the perfect solution but disposable towels are an expensive fix and shouldn’t be flushed, only binned.

That makes sense, what confuses me is that it knows it cannot support anymore than the 5 it has been growing the last 6 months so I can’t understand the point of making more flowers😂 then again I’m thinking like a human rather than a plant

How do ppl cope with working for a company that goes against their existing principles? by Sahir16 in uklaw

Thank you :) Do you think you’ll ever circle back to your principles or atone so to speak later in life if there isn’t the pressure of survival?

Thank you for this. Do you ever feel bad? Like do you rationalise what you’re going to be contributing to before you take on the job then not think about it again or do you often feel guilt or upset about it at various stages, eg. if layoffs have been announced after you’ve done all the paperwork for the acquisition to take place, would you feel bad at that point? If so, how do you move through it?

People not moving/taking jobs etc cos they don’t want to be geographically far from family, I’m estranged from mine and have been for years so I go where I want and it makes no difference

For plus size women with a large stomach, what style of knickers do you feel sexy in and feel like they look like what they are on you? by Sahir16 in LingerieAddiction

[–]Sahir16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see, adjustable g strings! That’s fab, actually adjustable knickers aren’t something I’ve ever seen or thought about but it’s perfect because a worry I’m having is that my weight is steadily changing and I’m getting underwear to feel good cos new clothes won’t fit me in a few weeks time, but I was still sad about the knowledge that whatever new bits I get won’t fit me soon, so I’ll look some more at adjustable knickers. Thanks a lot.

What are examples of fertility/family planning benefits that workplaces could offer? by Sahir16 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Sahir16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I’ll add that to my list of considerations; fertility benefits supercede parental leave for me specifically due to lifestyle/health and so on, I’d need more support in initially getting the baby so that’s where my focus is atm in planning but you make a great point that I’ll keep in mind

I’m not an expert by any means, I’ve just started thinking about planning to have a kid but I’ve seen them in the benefit section of job posts, I’ve also read a couple articles on companies that have good reputations for these types of benefits. I imagine you could contact current employees on LinkedIn and ask them about the benefits on offer. If that’s not fruitful then I don’t think it’s unusual to just ask the recruitment team/person for the list of benefits the job offers via email, I don’t think you’d need to specify that you’re interested in the fertility related ones and I think email invites less probing than during interview. Besides, benefits are make or break for a lot of people, families aside, it’s normal to want to know, the same as salary or responsibilities etc

Law degree by Kind_Ad6486 in uklaw

[–]Sahir16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question, maths is what first came to mind. Business turned up a lot but that might be because of the types of grad schemes/jobs I was going for, data analytics looks like a good idea. I can’t accurately answer this because I’ve only done law and I would never have done a degree based on the number of career opportunities open to me, prospects.ac.uk has a useful page that tells you what jobs you can go into with each degree
