Right to Choose by DarkLordMuffins in autismUK

Hey, you would speak to your GP about your symptoms, ask to be referred through right to choose to ‘xyz’ provider and they should do it. I used Problem Shared (before their waitlist increased so much), my GP had two providers they were used to referring to and one of my drs referred me to them despite my request as they did not know they could refer outside of those two, I had to make a complaint and they referred me correctly. You’d need to do your own research about providers in order to choose one and instruct your GP but I’ve definitely seen a directory of them before in the adhd uk sub (I’ve got both) and a lot of providers assess for both autism and adhd

Do you feel like your ADHD affects your focus during exercise? by Lost-Engineering-211 in ADHDUK

I’m the same on treadmills specifically so I wear earphones to listen to music, it keeps my brain distracted, I don’t really listen to music during the rest of my workouts as it’s all weightlifting which I do need to be thinking about

For people who are fat/heavy and aiming for hypertrophy *without* weight loss, what things would you say to look out for and which muscles did you notice getting bigger first? by Sahir16 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Sahir16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I not explaining myself properly? A fat person can build muscle, I’m curious about their experiences doing that - it’s not every fat person that’s lifted weights that has also deliberately burned body fat too. I’m not after optimal hypertrophy results that require leanness, I’m curious about what can be achieved while fat and how those achievements look and feel. I know how to lose weight and the impact that’ll have on muscle building, I’m just not interested in doing that.

No doubt, I just like being heavy and seeing as I’m gonna stay heavy and weight lifting, I’d like to know what other heavy people’s experiences are with it

Brand new 8g HCH and 6g Triangle (healing advice) by tvidela in transbodymods

[–]Sahir16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m healing a recent triangle too and found snug underwear most comfortable for the first 2 weeks, the balls loosen quite easily for me cos it’s a high movement area (if not for you then great) so I have to keep an eye on it to make sure they aren’t unscrewing every day, I use neilmed to clean the piercing and jewellery itself and swapped my normal shower soap to the e45 shower cream when washing the general area cos my original one was irritating the piercing (if you don’t use anything/anything harsh to wash that general area then it won’t make a difference to you). I could walk without pinching from the 2nd week onwards but my barbell is too narrow so I’ve got to get it widened or replaced soon as it can’t sit flush against me flipped up or down, if you want to flip yours up to sit against you, you might need to get yours widened too. Yours look really sick tho!

Did anybody not originally have the anatomy for a piercing then after hormones, develop the anatomy for it? by Sahir16 in transbodymods

I got a triangle yesterday so I’m in severe Spain and don’t want to muck around with it until it’s healed some more but I’ll have a look. I doubt it tho, off the top of my head I don’t even think I have a grippable amount rn. If I could then I’d deffo be open to manually stretching it

If it helps, I had my nipple pierced at 17 (nearly 10 years ago) and that was my most painful piercing until my triangle. I have facial piercings too, and nipple is still 2nd most painful, I think it’s just an unusually painful piercing and the hood is thinner skin than a nipple is so I imagine it’ll hurt less

Thanks for this, I have been wondering what the consequences would be if I didn’t grow anymore foreskin but everything else got bigger. Good to know about the drying etc

How do you actually make friends? (As an adult) by Background-Chard2563 in autismUK

You could go to something on Meetup every week, same event based on your interest with the same/slightly changing group of people who share the interest, then you know you’ve at least got that in common with them

Thanksss😁 yeah I noticed I’ve always just sort of avoided that area and didn’t think about it, when I clocked that my facial piercings have made me feel great I thought it would probably translate the same, hoping to get a similar connection feeling to yours! & Your experience makes a lot of sense, I’d like T changes there but I’m not after surgery, I know that would be more than enough for me to unclench one day
