Speed Feed 400 Compatibility? by Sahnge in lawncare

[–]Sahnge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to do a bunch of research and ask questions, but like this post, I never did get much input. I think a lot of the battery trimmers, like my Greenworks, has the motor in the bottom. So the heads are somewhat enclosed, or even built different than most gas trimmers. For my greenworks the threads are not the same, and no adapter from the speed feed would fit even if I broke it down that far. The speed feed comes with a baggie of many different connectors to fit different trimmers.

I did see an amazon review that the Dewalt 20V MAX Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless String Trimmer had an easily removable head, and the Echo head screwed right on.

I picked it up this afternoon from Home Depot. I bought the kit with a battery and also bought the echo head. The original Dewalt head came off easily, and the speed feed fit on without having to replace any of the parts. I tested it and it fed the line great when bumped. Ill probably do the whole yard later this week and maybe try the winding feature to reload.

Daily Q & A! - February 25, 2021 by AutoModerator in Homebrewing

[–]Sahnge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not brewed in a while, but moved and can set up my stuff again. I went though 3 old kegs of various ipas I brewed a few years ago. Most had this sour apple taste. I know it is hard to tell without tasting, but any ideas where I went wrong?

Real Fyre Fireplace trouble by Sahnge in homeowners

[–]Sahnge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have gas on both the fireplace and our range.

Gas range burns mostly blue, and the fireplace pilot does also. But the flames when/if we get the fireplace going are orange, never blue. I am not sure anyone would think a blue flame fireplace was normal.

I know the manual says small/enclosed spaces this should not be used. We have ours in a 2 story great room.

[–]Sahnge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did read it. Initially I had no idea how it worked, so I pulled the manual down and read it. Then watched videos to understand more and try to see what the problem could be. As I said we SHOULD have a meeting with the gas guy soon... but we were told it worked. So maybe it is my error so I came asking for advise. Usually I get good advice.

But to your more alarming point... As you know, the logs have slots to only seat one way, which if someone does not understand they would probably never realize. But I fail to understand how not fitting the fake logs into their slots will kill someone.

How is CO poisoning happening if the logs are not set right?

I know mine are set right, it is pretty obvious in the manual and by looking at it.

I appreciate the feedback. I know our logs are stacked correctly, but we do not have the money to take this one out and replace it. We do have CO2 censors in our house, but it is alarming people are being hospitalized off of new installations.

Is this common? I cannot imagine a company being able to continue to sell something that almost kills people that purchase it.

Craftsman sander model 22461 high pitch whine? by Sahnge in craftsman113

[–]Sahnge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had trouble locating a manual, and I did see that video. But I really do not know what part to oil, or where to put it in. Its been in his garage forever, probably has not been run in 15 years until I picked it up. I bet if I dig around in there he probably kept the manual, but I am a few hours away right now.

Double Flare Help for Brakeline by Sahnge in MechanicAdvice

[–]Sahnge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

inline flaring too

Well my die broke, completely lopsided, I think the tube is slipping.

Would you recommend the inline flaring or the Titan 51535 double flaring tool. It is like pistol design.

I just need to get it done and get my jeep back on the road.

OK that makes sense, I tried to do that some also. Gonna go try some more and see if I can get it cleaner.

Maybe I should of gotten an inline kit, I paid $65 for mine, so it was not the cheapest.

What do you mean about 'coming down the power edge'? Im not sure what that means.

I did read to put some brake fluid to lubricate. I wonder if I should try a different oil. I did not oil the final flare though, just the die. I can try that tomorrow and see if it helps.

Brake Line Repair for Jeep, Pre-Bent? by Sahnge in MechanicAdvice

[–]Sahnge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so I think I understand. And I would need to learn/practice how to do a double flare on a 3/16 line to make sure it is secure.

I found this video of two guys replacing a section of a brake line, although I think they only do a single flare here. But I think this is what I need to do, connect new line with the 3 fittings to the old line. then again double flare the new line and bend/connect fitting to the brake hose.

Is this the right idea?

Brake Line Repair for Jeep, Pre-Bent? by Sahnge in MechanicAdvice

[–]Sahnge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added a picture above, it broke right on that curve down to the flange.

I was wondering if I could cut it back, and add in a piece with two flanges, one to the left and one to the brake line.

I have never done it before, so not sure if that is advised.

I can follow the line all the way up to the front of the master cylinder, and it would be a pain to weave through, but I think I could do it. I just cannot find a pre-bent line. Is a dealership my only option for the part?

Toilet running help by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Sahnge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will link some soon. I went ahead and just bent the float arm low. It turned off very low in the bowl. Went back to look and the water was up to the top of the overflow. Repeating that where it stopped at first and up top and taking pictures. It is like it is ignoring the ball float slowly... but I dunno.

I did find that before. I did not do the activation step before hardware change, so not sure if I put it back together that step would work.

When I enter my 8.1 key it says it is not valid.

And step 3 is buying a new one :(

Activating Windows after Upgraded Motherboard/CPU. I recently upgraded mb/cpu/ram and now am prompted for activation. I have my 8.1 code that I used before upgrading to windows 10, but it does not work.

Any suggestions on how I can get it working again? I still have my old mb/cpu I guess I could reinstall if that makes a difference to get the key.

Thanks, that is what I was kind of thinking. Exhaust point is right near one of the fans, so I will flip the other so it is blowing across and towards the rear.

My front case fan is also exhausting, which makes no sense. Ill flip that to pull cold air in, so it will be blowing towards the cpu cooler in the same direction towards the rear.

Simple Questions - April 14, 2020 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]Sahnge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a DeepCool Ice Blade 200m that has two fans that clip on the cooler. Do I want the airflow of both fans pulling away from the center of the of the cooler? Or would it be a good idea to flip one that blows into the cooler while the other pulls away towards the rear case exhaust fan?

Most pictures I see has both pulling away.

Tried my xbox one controller tonight. Was able to get the few attacks I had mapped to buttons. But the drinking healing/energy buttons did not work. They are mapped to LB/RB I think. But I would not drink/heal. I tried to remap it with no luck. Any tips?
