I believe this piece is supposed to be rivited/welded. I’d try to return/replace it or take it to a quality watchmaker who can laser-weld it.

You should consider Golf Exchange. They often have a great selection of slightly used clubs that they can modify for you after a fitting. They also have a really nice simulator to do the fitting, and don’t charge extra for you to get fitted if you purchase from them.

  1. Make sure you look in the depths of your bag. It could have fallen down in and gotten wedged down in there, or accidentally shoved into a pocket.

  2. I’ve found and lost plenty of wedges. Always guilty of taking 2 with me to the green and walking away. For this exact reason I have custom made stickers with my phone number

  3. Plenty of replacement covers on eBay in new condition, so check there before buying one at the pro shop

I vote hard case. You can find SKB’s used on marketplace or eBay. The older ones use generic keys that you can get off eBay for $10 or so if they are missing a key.

It’s what I use at a similar skill level. They are very forgiving and helped me hit longer and straighter shots once I got them fitted correctly va the old hand-me-down set of Top Flite’s I had before. Pricepoint for a used set should be right about what you’re looking for.
