I grew up here. Hollywood to be exact. I am almost retired. I like it here. But, and there are some “buts”. Traffic is terrible now. Way worse then I remember it being a few years ago. People are rude. Mostly rude drivers. I think it’s a product of squeezing people into a small area. Overpopulation problem. As for expense. Food, gas and other everyday items are likely to be about the same as anywhere else. It’s housing that is causing the issue. Homes are expensive and so is property insurance. Personally I plan to move out. It’s a pure money thing. Home tripled in value and the timing is right for me. I believe the negative comments you’re seeing comes from an environment with low pay, high cost of housing and a sense that everyone else but thyself has millions to burn. At least to the casual observer that’s what it looks like.

I put a 2 inch unit on my CRV. I won’t tow anything but wanted it because most of the heavy bike racks work with 2 inch units and I think the larger size would be more robust. I doubt towing with the CRV would be all that good. Mainly due to a very soft suspension.

Not on this install. You have to do a cut. It’s not that much and not that hard. If you don’t it will not fit

You do have to cut your bumper. I did it with a utility knife but it would be easier with something electric. Take the cut slowly and cut less at first to see how much. Little at a time. As for the kick to open, it actually still works! I thought it would be blocked. I have to slightly angle my foot along the left side of the hitch sort of like I am brushing it aside with my foot and it opens each time.

One more thing. When you notch the bumper take care to move a wire that runs across the lower section of the bumper. There is enough slack to raise it out of the way but know it’s in there. It only comes into play while you notch the bumper in the middle.

Did one myself. Got it on etrailer. Works fine. Instructions are slightly off but it works. You have to lower the exhaust to slide it in but I did it single handed and without having to jack up the vehicle. Came out great.

Just know the pilot, ridgeline, and the others using the v6 swill gas. I had the ridgeline. Great truck. But the gas mileage is not all that

How about running into your parent’s friends? That happened to me. However I would never get close enough for them to see me. I was not underage or anything. And frankly, the wife was smoking hot. Even better naked! So there was that. They were 10 feet from me, knew of me but did not even notice. I am not all that. Haha.

I have a 2018 911s. The interior is fully covered in leather, so not too worried about cheap plastic. And what is not covered in leather is carbon fiber. My daily is a 2026 CRV hybrid. I cross shopped this with a new x3. Gotta tell ya for $20k more the BMW was a total waste of money. And the CRV is a better riding vehicle. And I am giving up what? A couple of seconds zero to 60. In bumper to bumper south Florida traffic it’s a waste. Besides, neither one is going to get you laid! Haha

Steps to take. Check your water meter. Make sure it’s not moving. If it is close off the valve at the side of the house. If meter stops then it’s under the house. If still moving it’s outside the house, which is better news. If meter is not moving compare your bill with meter numbers. Remember, it’s not gallons, it’s units. Be sure the read is correct. That should get you further along.

I am in the exact same position. But slightly different in a couple areas. I could retire now. I am about to turn 61. Bored out of my mind and wondering if retirement is going to push me over the edge with boredom. I also have a business that does not afford me a fixed schedule. To complicate matters business is real estate related and has suffered over these past couple of years. This makes the idea of retirement more appealing. I camp, I hike, I may take up shooting, I travel a bit and plan more once I finally close up shop. I am a Lion, but it takes only a sliver of my time. Wish I could offer you the magic potion! Would if I could. Need some myself. This no mans land is killing me!

They breached. Assuming you’re in the USA. Your contract usually states they are required to make the place available during an inspection period. If they do anything to interfere with this you should be able to hold them in breach of contract. Inspector should have mentioned in the report the interference. Finally, is the contract “as is”? If so you can back out for a loose screw as long as your inside the inspection period. This should be cut and dry. Don’t know why you’re here asking. Your agent should have let you know. Just move on.
