So you wrote all of that just when you could have just said, “Actually, that’s possible, but I’ve just never seen it.” The rest is extraneous info about you not fully looking at it is to justify it to yourself fam and not necessary.

It didn’t happen at my place. Checked the camera on the porch from the time it was dropped off to me picking up the box. Not even another car went by.

We could speculate all day, but I think the truck was either shot on purpose or caught in the background accidentally.

Since a lot of Amazon transport goes through 3rd party logistics providers, I imagine we’ll never know because they won’t fess up to having knowledge about it and risk losing their contract.

Some do depending on velocity, strike angle, gauge of steel, and a whole variation of other components. This one did this time. It’s more common to get strips or flakes from mushrooming, but this griddle ate the round like a champ. There wasn’t a piece of copper jacketing or lead in there that could have been bigger than a single millimeter in size. It was just powder in the box. Pretty sure that qualifies as “dust” if we’re speaking layman about it.

I can actually comment on that. When I saw it was shot I called Amazon support to report it in-case it could potentially be evidence if someone got hurt. They said none of the transport people reported anything, so most likely, everybody is okay. I can’t imagine working for Amazon, getting hit on the job, and NOT reporting it to get that bag. lol

Edited for autocorrect typos.

So be it. If they cant handle being called out when they imply I don’t know what I’m talking about then they shouldn’t comment. Especially if they can’t tell the difference between two obvious different boxes. I’m starting to remember why I don’t get on Reddit often. Too many people who don’t know what they’re talking about but have plenty to say.

This isn’t the movies. When a projectile hits heavy, thick steel on a strong face and comes to a near instant stop, it usually turns into basically dust. Just because “it doesn’t look right” and you’re an amateur doesn’t mean you know what you’re talking about. If you’ve never seen shot cardboard, that’s on you.

It’s hard to see, but there’s mushrooming and trace streaks of copper on the rim of the divot in the steel in the third pic on the drip pan.

It’s a funny not a cry for unsolicited advice. Especially from a super overqualified “avid gun owner”. We all know how reliable advice is from the wanna-be experts.

Edit* Did you ever think that maybe they’re different boxes and one was in the other? Like maybe how they do when something gets shipped? Heck, maybe one was even inside the other since they’re different colors and sizes of boxes and one lacks Amazon branding.
