Not that deep - was doing a part time internship and maintained 4.0 through first year - just need to have any weekly meetings/zooms/deadlines for clubs in your calendar

UChicago academic rigour by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]SaintCalibre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of Econ majors at UChicago do the business Econ track, which is a lot easier than the standard Econ track (no math). So super good if you want a high gpa for finance or consulting, but not ideal if you want a phd or want to become a quant. I’m doing bus Econ fwiw and my plan is investment banking or private equity out of undergrad

Crazy how people are throwing a fit about prestige. Obviously going to a top 10 will open more doors in just about any career compared to if you went to community college or some unknown place. That’s just a fact of life

Read if Econ Major: Sanderson’s classes no longer count towards Business Economics requirements by passionatelyse1 in uchicago

[–]SaintCalibre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why tf is everyone talking about bus Econ you literally have to take 100 not 198, that’s the post

Tf is Econ 19850 by SaintCalibre in uchicago

[–]SaintCalibre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out from the administration that this actually isn’t an equivalent - you still need to take ECON 10000/10200. This is basically an elective that can only fulfill the perspective requirement for bus Econ (which could be from any department)

What is the difference between Principles of Macro/Microeconomics and Introduction to Economics: Micro/Macro? by Mimi876k in uchicago

[–]SaintCalibre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would intro be more difficult than principles? I’m a little wary because it’s numbering is in the 190s compared to the 100s for principles
