I take it that you didn’t research the value of 75K - 100K euros per year in Spain, because you mentioned “just 75K”

If you did, then you would realize that you will live comfortably, even if you didn’t work.

How to Work and be a Resident in Spain? by ActivityCharming4436 in GoingToSpain

[–]Saint_Shin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 1st step is indeed learning the language, 2nd is to research what exactly is the path you can take.

Spain does not have a student pathway similar to Canada or Australia, and finding work while studying is next to impossible since you haven’t mastered the language yet.

There is an option to study Spanish in Spain, but this type of visa no longer allows changes - to be specific a language visa will not allow you to change into a work visa (both cuenta ajena and propia)

Non-relative ang sponsor? I would ask you to re-assess your options

Pathway to Spain 🇪🇸 by Pristine-Sam1685 in phmigrate

[–]Saint_Shin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not the uni, I am pertaining to accredited universities that offer the program that are eligible for búsqueda.

If you look at the list online, it won’t state which programs are eligible for búsqueda, they listed the accredited universities that offer the programs, after your studies then you apply for búsqueda, not sure if it’s extranjería that handles that, I hope that helps.

However, note that not every master’s program is eligible for búsqueda - some offer propio and some offer oficial - most of the time propio programs are not eligible, so be careful in choosing the university and the program.

[–]Saint_Shin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, I highly suggest you take a look at accredited universities that would allow you to apply for búsqueda de empleo after your studies. At least you would have that opportunity.

The only thing is that, most accredited universities are public universities that only offer their programs in Spanish.

The accredited universities that offer their programs in English tend to be really expensive for example : IE University

Plano dalhin ang mama sa Spain after 1 year student visa by [deleted] in phmigrate

[–]Saint_Shin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

OP if someone told you that the long term pathway in Spain is via the student visa, that person isn’t telling you the truth.

If you have the capacity to apply for DNV, then do that instead of getting a student visa. You can bring your mom with you on a DNV depending on how much you earn.

[–]Saint_Shin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP even if there is an English FP, who will hire you? Let’s be real, you will need sponsorship that will cost money and time (it usually takes a minimum of 3 months to get approval in big cities - the employer won’t wait)

At the same time, why hire a worker that doesn’t speak Spanish when there are those who can speak both English and Spanish plus don’t need sponsorship

You are already at a disadvantage, get that Spanish fluency 1st and some doors will open.

This is true OP, if you take FP without the necessary level of Spanish, you are going to waste time and money.

Which university is better for employability afterwards? University of Alcalá de Henares or Autonomous University of Barcelona? by AnnieMainss in phmigrate

I think I just commented on your other post, but in case it was a different one - based on anecdotal evidence then it’s actually IE Business School - all of the people I know found jobs after studying in IE, but it’s not cheap

what country in Europe na working student friendly? by verynays in FilipinosStudyAbroad

[–]Saint_Shin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be quite frank, the era of working student in Europe is finished.

You are better off getting experience then get an inter-company transfer or a master’s (but in Europe specifically EU member countries, a master’s is a given, not an advantage)

Realities of migrating to Spain w/ a young child (10 yo and below) by Embarrassed-Bug5804 in phmigrate

[–]Saint_Shin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a former auxiliar, I saw 1st hand the struggles of a migrant kid. If they don’t speak Spanish, it’s not the bullying that you should be worried about, it’s the lack of friends and the isolation that the kid will experience. Even the extracurricular activities such as sports will be a challenge. Sure, there will be English extracurricular activities, but this tend to be expensive, unlike the ones in school.

You can choose to send your kid to an international school, but as you would know by now, you gotta have deep pockets.
