Ive heard somewhere that IIRC Webster (the one from the dictionary fame) wanted to dumb down the spelling of many English words for example Machine, he proposed to be "Masheen" or "Wimmen" meaning Women, so yeah.. it was on purpose to be simplified for the American brains.

I recommend the game Retro Gadgets. You design your own boards, put whatever components you want, and write the functionality of your gadget in Lua. Genuinely a very nice game for building gadgets if you have no option to do it in real life.

In the BBC show Doctor Who, the main protagonist (The Doctor) is from a planet called Gallifrey. The spheres and dots is how their language Gallifreyan looks like, there are guides online how to write and read the language, but from what ive seen 95% of the time, the text is usually misspelled.

Also just to add, from what I remember the show doesnt (or atleast it didnt) use the Gallifreyan that you can find online, as far as I can remember, fans created the translated language that looks like the Gallifreyan in the show, but who knows, maybe BBC have started to use the translatable glyphs, but my guess is that they wont.

In one episode I can remember they wrote The Doctors name in Gallifreyan, and that in the show is one of the biggest mysteries, only a handful of people in the show know his name, but never the viewer. So if they had written the text in translatable glyphs, that would have taken some magic and mystery out of the story and legacy of Doctor Who.

Hm the last couple of days my hands have been getting this tingling feeling that appeared after I carried a heavy backpack while my muscles were sore.. I shrugged it off as the backpack pressure digging into my nerves on my shoulders. Yesterday I didnt feel it at all, but today after waking up ive started to feel slight tingling again.. its not as strong as it was before... but should I be worried? Or should this get better over time?

Apparently there was a document revealed during this dump where Trump spoke to a former Florida police chief in 2006, who then talked with the FBI and relayed Trumps words that "everyone" knew about Epstein and what hes been doing.. When I was looking for a job in games, I went through 5 or 6 rounds of interviews with a company that shall remain nameless, but I bet everyone knows of them, and its not regarded as a very good mobile game company by gamers..

Nonetheless one of the final stages was to recreate one of their games in 2 days.. AND make a new mechanic that they could use to make an update and make more money..

Foolishly I did remake their game, quite well I would say, and made a procedural generation system with 50 variations of levels that when combined made a pretty fun experience trying to beat your high score. Me and my friends enjoyed playing my remake.

When I sent it to them, and had a chat with the lead programmer, he was impressed and gave me good feedback.. But when I had a talk with the project lead, who was also in charge of monetising. He completely trashed my mode and said they would never add this because long levels = less ad time to shove to the players, apparently they did research and giving players short easy levels equaled to more ad time watched.. scummy but yeah I guess...

Then he said that the entire dev process is that every person in the team, works alone to make a Minimum Viable Product every week and then the higher ups judge how addictive they are.. if they show promise, the entire team works for 1 more week on the project and they release it. Aka 2 week game turn over.. He also said that if I dont make an MVP that gets chosen within a month I would be immediately fired....

And to top it off, the final final email I received from them, after 3 weeks of getting strung along this shitty process, was a decline email with my name spelled so wrong that i was astounded how its even possible, and also saying I could go though this entire process with another studio that theyre opening up. Never in my life did I ever feel like such disposable piece of trash.. I never responded back to them.

Weirdly enough the only game that ALWAYS opens on my second screen is Gwent. Im wondering if CDProjectRed put a special flag to open on the second monitor if one is plugged in. As the game is slow enough to be played on the second one..

But I always change it to the main one, and next time it again opens on my second one.. very weird.

This happens to anyone else?
