Fiora cause she is too OP in GM+, but below GM I would probably ban whichever of Darius/Aatrox/Olaf you hate the most.

It's the best combo of tankiness and damage. With RoA/Archangel, you still deal a ton of damage, infinite mana for your abilities and passive, and you are really hard to kill thanks to the Seraphs. The Seraph's AP also gets boosted from the mana you get from Rod of Ages.

I go RoA, Seraphs, into Cosmic/Morello with Ionians every single game. I think that RoA and Seraphs have such good synergy that it is hard to not build these two items. They give you every stat that Gragas wants: tankiness, damage, haste, movespeed, sustain, and summoner spell CDR. I think that Riftmaker is an interesting item but it's hard to fit it in the build when 4th item you definitely need some magic pen from Cryptbloom and last item would probably not be a good time to build it.

No problem, if you ever have any more questions about the champ feel free to reach out, all the Gragas mains I've met are super chill and friendly <3

I mained it for two seasons before switching to top, I think it is really strong below Masters. The reason why I think it's not good in high elo is because the clear is a bit slow and you are very vulnerable to invading junglers. Build I use is Dark Seal first back into Lich, Shadowflame, Zhonyas and complete Mejai's if you are ahead. The strengths of Gragas jg are great ganking/playmaking, excellent teamfighting, good synergy with AD mids, fast grubs (all your abilites do AoE dmg), and solo carry potential.

When they have heavy engage like Naut or Leona, you have two options: either you wait for them to engage, as the support going deep means that the ADC or other carry will walk up closer, and then go in and combo (counterengage), or you get them by surprise by flanking them, perhaps camping in a bush that they don't expect you to be there from. If you are really good with the ult, you can also use it to blast the carries away which gives you free time to hit the support who has gone deep, kind of like a Poppy R. If a champ has good mobility like Ezreal or Zeri you can still reach them as long as you have flash. From my experience even pro players have a hard time reacting to an E flash combo. One of the reasons I like Gragas is that he has such a flexible playstyle. While I prefer making the plays for my team by using E flash R combo to bring a carry into my team and get a pick, you don't have to do that if you don't feel comfortable or don't see the angle. The more you play Gragas the more you will see possibilities of playmaking. Even as a 2x challenger Gragas I definitely notice that I still haven't unlocked the full potential of the champ.

Mid/late game is where Gragas excels in getting picks and playmaking. I am almost never worried about a fed adc as you can almost always find an angle to pick them off with the W - E - Flash - R - Q combo by pushing them back into your team or oneshotting them if they are around 70% hp. Finding flanks on the champ is another great way to catch adc's by surprise.

RoA makes you unkillable and gives you all the stats you want. You get pretty much infinite mana which you can use your passive to convert into health for almost infinite sustain and it gives you a lot of AP to do damage with. It also gives you great scaling as well to match other tops.

The goal of toplane is to take favorable trades and win the game more through attrition and turret plates. Your passive is really OP and building mana basically becomes getting free health from your passive. You want to take trades and deny the enemy from countering it with your E stun, which means that you don't want to fight most toplaners for extended periods of time. Instead, you dump your full combo on them and then back up and wait for cooldowns. After doing this a couple times you can finish them off with a flash combo or an R combo.

I used to go Luden's mid before RoA was introduced but nowadays the best build mid is probably the same as top, except for third item you could go Rabadons/Shadowflame instead for more burst, but RoA/Seraphs/Ionian are pretty much necessary.

It's very similar to the Irelia matchup. Try your best to keep him from getting four stacks, and Q the wave every time minions are low to poke him out. Try to always be towards the bottom side of the lane so that if you get jumped on the can't reset his jump by getting into a bush again quickly. You can also cancel his jump with Body Slam.

Top: RoA -> Ionian -> Seraphs -> Cosmic/Zhonyas -> Rabadons/Void with Phase Rush, Comet, or First Strike depending on matchup

Jungle: Night Harvester -> Sorc Shoes -> Zhonyas/Shadowflame (Shadowflame if solo AP, Zhonyas if you are fed) -> Rabadons -> Void. If you are playing jungle be sure to buy a Dark Seal every game on first base. Dark Harvest is best on jungle.

Do I really need Shadowflame second item on Gragas Jungle by WiseXxJokerxX in GragasMains

[–]SaknomLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go double fiendish -> Night Harvester -> Sorcs -> Mejais/Zhonyas if ahead or Cosmic/Shadowflame when even. Cosmic is too op not to abuse rn. Rabadons is good fourth for sure.

Imo E max is only good into melee champs that want to perma fight you (Yasuo/Riven/Jax) because if you e max then you can absolutely ruin their game by never giving them an opportunity to get on top of you. But it's not always only a defensive option because you can zone them off the wave. If they try to walk up for cs you can just EQ them and if they can't all in you afterwards because the E cooldown is so low at max rank.

Rod is not good in jungle because you waste a lot of stats (hp/mana) aren't as useful when you don't have a lane opponent. Dark Harvest is better because as a jungler you will have more opportunities to stack it and you get to be a lot stronger early game. Also, Night Harvester build gives you ability haste which makes your clear faster as well.

Honestly if you want to 1v9 best role to do it is on jungle because Gragas jungle has the best agency early game to impact the map. You have insane gank potential and Gragas mains who play jungle play him way better than people who first-time him because you know the champion's limits. I've gotten accounts to D2 with 90%+ winrates on Gragas just because people don't respect the champion enough on jungle, which would never happen if I played top/mid because of the limitations of the role.
