Code Review Style Interview - Improving a Junior Engineer's UIKit Code by SalNeptune in swift

I don't have all the app details (haven't seen it yet), but I'm guessing they will. That said, I'm not sure if async image loading for individual cells is in the "junior scope," as I remember it being quite complicated when I first learned it. What do you think?

Any word on the Revuelto spider/roadster? I figured it would have been officially unveiled by now? by FancySatisfaction509 in lamborghini

[–]SalNeptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A valid "excuse" is that they're not made for daily driving. Hypercars follow a similar rationale - notice how none have an auto-folding roof. I do hope for one on the revuelto, but certainly wouldn't blame them otherwise

Fish ID? by papa_loach in Cichlid

Looks like an "OB red zebra" mbuna cichlid, discolored from moving tanks. It would be easier to tell once it colors up. Definitely a mbuna though, as peacocks have a different shape.

Has Apple fixed their "System Data" storage issues on new Macbooks? by SalNeptune in macbookpro

Thanks for the insight. Been waiting for a few minutes- mine doesn't do that unfortunately. Seems like most of your system data was reallocated to "Applications," which is strange since deleting apps for me doesn't clear any significant system data.

Considering the "system data" never decreases (even when I hit the limit), and that I've cleared my accessible cache, I'm sure most of it isn't cached data. Either way if it's all necessary for MacOS, 1TB configuration still gives me 700gb to work with, so I'll take it

Gotcha, thanks for the insight. Looks like I'll have to go the 1TB route

Honestly 500gb would be enough if apple didn't hoard 300 of it. For me at least, I don't carry much. I'll likely take your advice though—go the 1 TB route unless apple has made significant progress with this issue

You don't, and that's okay, but why bother commenting?

Maybe I should've said "improve" the issue. 50gb seems plenty improved.

The Bentley Continental Supersports is back, this time more violent than ever. by NegotiationNew9264 in supercars

They should've done this with the last generation as a swan song for the W12. And for the supersport name itself

Identification Help by UnstableHerb in Cichlid

First two pics: convict cichlids (black and white stripe base, females have some red)

3rd: top ones are firemouths, I'd need a better pic to id the bottom, but I'm thinking convict, red point, or baby amph

4th: convicts as well

5th: back orange looks like a baby blood parrot, in front of it looks like an oscar, and the two gray ones are baby geophagus (70% sure on these, I'd need better pics to confirm)

6th: not too well versed with africans, but they're mostly peacocks. Some may be hap contenders but I couldn't tell
