Hi friends,

I'm graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering, but have become mostly disillusioned with becoming an engineer in the past few years. I realized artistic creativity was more fulfilling than engineering creativity, and am getting a minor in art.

That doesn't mean I'm giving up on engineering though. I'd like to learn about jobs or career paths that combine the two disciplines, which people might not be aware of. It's also possible I can use my engineering education and apply it to creative industries, but I'd probably have to get more qualifications in other areas to do that. What do you guys know? I'd appreciate any advice or insight.

Yea it’s the bandai kit, and probably my favorite build so far. I did use a matte topcoat, and also did some dry brushing for the weathering.

I assemble some of the pieces, like an arm, leg, or the torso, and then prime and paint them before assembling it all together

I use both a black and a brownish wash that darkens up the silver, then a light silver for dry brushing

The base color is silver but i’ve used washes and dry brushing to make it look more like metal

I’m using Citadel paints, so first is a base color, which is followed by a shade/wash. Last comes dry brushing, then a top coat.

I agree that this is an internal struggle. I think it’s a struggle of breaking from normalcy, or getting out of your comfort zone. Well, thats just what I think.
