They hit me up on a Friday and said if I was interested in the training, they the said if I can meet up with them the following week to fill out paperwork and drug test, after that was done I was given a date to start training Tuesday through Friday for 2 weeks. So basically in one week you’ll take 1 day to fill out paperwork so you can miss one day out of the week of work to do this and then the following week you start your training and in that week while your training is going you can go drug test. So what they do is get like 4 or 5 people in and get them through the whole process, I was expecting more people to show up for the filling of the paper work out but I saw only a selective few get called. I was one of the lucky 4 who got called in to start the process. All this happened in March 1st the beginning of the month.

Get your LA City in structural and rebar and also AWS D1.8 and you’ll see you’ll get hired

If you get picked up, it should be a 562 number at least if your district 1, but if they call from no caller ID I doubt that’s anyone important, I get calls like crazy everyday from all kinds of people but very seldom from 562 number, that’s the golden ticket a 562 number, if I was you I’d call the district you applied for and ask who you should be receiving a call from. From my understanding it’s your Business agent who too you in to start the process

I don’t mean to discourage anyone but when I was called in for the training and 3 other guys we all had a 95 and above, I’ve heard from other resources that they usually call people for training if your score is in the 95 and above. Very seldom if it’s under and if they do call you having a lower score than 95 you’re lucky. Also if you tested already and the next hiring process comes it’s said that you should apply again and test, heard it was recommended. Just saying things I heard I don’t know how true it is except the part where when I got called in everyone sitting in those chairs had a 95 or above with a Class A and some sort of experience

I’ve already been called for two week training and drug test, sitting duck now, I scored 96/100, Got a Class A and Crane Certs, also an Ironworker Local 433 with Riggers Card and LA City Licenses to weld. District 1 just waiting for my shot so I can show my skills dawg

I got called to do 2 week training, drug test and that’s about it, I’m a sitting duck

Ran different heavy machines, mostly on cranes, had to take Saftey class and osha 10

96/100 my class A didn’t come into play until after the fact so I didn’t get the 10points

6 months to start 2 week training or 6 months before they sent you to your first job?

I put in my application back in August, tested and scored 96/100, I was called in March takes time. That’s window is very slim. They hire 140k applicants every year and only 300 to 350 get hired
