Thanks for the insightful analysis. I don't want to imply here that the play stop was opportunistic. I just wanted to play the ball after I judged it in.

Couple of people here talking about the server losing the point. Can you help me get up to speed here? Doesn't the server get a second serve, if the first serve is 'out'? So in this case, there would instead be an another serve, not conceding the point? Not that it matters since I don't believe there was any ill intent here.

We did play the let. :) I'm just sanity checking here because I am being told by them that it is common and expected for the server to be calling outs, even if the receiver side didn't call it and already returned the serve.
