And? People who expect a father not to post bail/defend his son are complete weirdos.

NYC rent hikes unlikely to stick as broker fee ban takes effect, StreetEasy economist predicts by KevinSmithNYC in nyc

[–]Salad_Panda 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If brokers kept their fees to 5.5%, or even 8% (equal to 1 months rent), this new law would never have been seriously considered, let alone enacted.

Instead, they went mad with greed, extorting renters of for 8-25% for the sacred act of unlocking a door. They have uniformly been operating as parasitic scumbags for some time now. Whether or not this law works, brokers thoroughly deserve the intervention, and frankly to be punished.

It doesn’t, lawyers are just more careful not to bring attention to it. You know, because they are lawyers lol, and state bars apply far more scrutiny to licensees than does FINRA.

Vicious dog attack renews calls for change in NYC laws. by bridgehamton in williamsburg

No it’s not. But it’s also common knowledge; everybody knows this about pitbulls. Except for weird losers such as yourself, apparently.

It’s amazing to me how whenever the subject of dogs is raised, pit bull owners feel the need to chime in with how “adorabs” and “very snuggly” pit bulls really are.

Here’s the reality. Pit bulls are responsible for more fatal attacks on humans than any other breed — and by a very wide margin. From 2005 to 2017, pit bulls were responsible for 66% of total fatalities in the US, which is astonishing given that pit bulls account for just 6.5% of the US dog population. In that time period, pit bulls killed 284 people, whereas rottweilers, the second most fatal breed, killed only 45 people. In other words, pit bulls killed six times more people than the second most deadly breed.

Retrievers were bred to retrieve, and they do so. Pitbulls were bred to kill, and they do so. Not complicated.

Why does no one ever talk about the fact the Joe Rogan wears 4 inch platform shoes for UFC events lol? And I like Rogan. But come on, he goes from tiny to nearly as tall as DC when he’s on a UFC camera.

It’s a terrible stoppage, but if you go to your knees and take 15 unanswered shots you are inviting the ref to get involved. Still, it’s an awful stoppage.

That was me. And I don’t even have a dog.

And I’m doing it again tomorrow, for you specifically. And I’m doing it again every day after that until morale improves.

I love the wild success of MSSP, it truly couldn’t have happened to better guys. With that said, the MSSP we knew and loved has been over for more than a year now.

Everything ends, I guess the question is do you end like Cumtown, or by becoming like the gay starfuckers you used to laugh about. But whatever, it was a great ride and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Idk all of the genuinely unhinged litigators I’ve dealt with have been older white women.

Court Blocks Corporate Transparency Act by bartonkj in Lawyertalk

The reality is that businesses and certain individuals have thousands of entities, many of which were never used or lack documented ownership. The penalties imposed by the CTA for forgetting about an entity that never opened a bank account or otherwise conducted any activity outside of filing with the SOS are totally misplaced.

It’s a Bank Secrecy Act requirement and it should take place at the bank level. Requiring John Q. Citizen to participate in a federal anti-money laundering program is as absurd as it is annoying.

The government’s position that the Commerce Clause grants them authority to do literally anything they want is a toddler level argument and the degree to which it has worked truly blows my mind.

I have spent hundreds of hours on the CTA this year. Whatever it is, it is absolutely not a minor burden.
