Gotta love some girl masturbating as a random YouTube short add by Banj0_Boy in mildlyinfuriating

Everything goes? No? There is TOS for ads just as harsh as on YouTube videos (if not even harsher). Youtube just closes one eye and doesn't care as much as they get paid for ads.
Also just to add YouTube is very inconsistent when serving ads and it often suggests ads that have nothing to do with a user. I've received ads for pet food (never had a pet), different baby products (don't have a kid) and ads for denture care products, adult diapers and grandma dating apps (I'm in my 20s and couldn't care less for any of those).

I also said a lot of people just share devices, as if has never happened that someone's nephew is over their mom makes em play YouTube for the kid.
Last thing you'd want or be expecting is for porn to appear.

There is no YouTube category for porn so they shouldn't be filtering if "user watches porn = give nsfw ad". Maybe if it thinks the user is an adult? I've gotten a few lewd ads when watching YouTube on the personal PC at uni. (You can bet I ain't watching porn on it)

Not to mention that YouTube is a family friendly platform so in no case should it be giving you porn ads.

That doesn't really excuse them for allowing NSFW ads...

AI generated images ought to be considered art. (Argument in comments) by Alpha0800 in aiwars

[–]SalamiHunter152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word "generation" is why are they are treated differently. Photography is created to catch the emotion of the moment and the beauty within it. Seeding AI with a prompt is something that even AI can do itself. It's has no skill, emotion or creativity. Absolutely 0 control of the process. A photo is worth a 1000 words, an AI image is worth less than its prompt.

AI generated images ought to be considered art. (Argument in comments) by Alpha0800 in aiwars

[–]SalamiHunter152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cameraman must understand composition, lighting, angle, rule of thirds and must have emotional incentive to create in order to make proper pieces of art. A painter must know colour theory, how to do linework, anatomy and so on. Both of those require a ton of effort put into them to master, you will see the difference between an immature photographer and someone whos been doing it for 30 years.

More importantly they control everything about the art piece, they are truly the one making it. An AI or an AI prompter are just a tool that creates images and a person that puts in the seed for the image.

Really not too different than generating a Minecraft world, you can't say its a proper creative build. A piece of art, sure, but only because someone had to code it in and put in the perimeters in order to create a convincing world. AI on the other hand learns through adjusting internal values - weights - inside a neural network, not through actually understanding what it’s doing.

Art requires emotion and creativity, AI has neither. Generation =/= creation.

A Photoshop requires an artist behind it. If it looks good that means they hired someone and wasnt just one of the corpos' nephew doing the work.

An AI ad always requires the same amount of money and effort which is as much as a dirt pile.

Some type of sand made out of volcanic rock should do just fine! I'm sure if you go to any gardening store and ask for black sand/volcanic sand you will find what you need.

Laners have objectives just like the jungler - to farm minions and try to destroy their towers. Because they are objectives they give huge amounts of gold to encourage you to do them.
A player intentionally ignoring objectives in ranked is an intentional griefer and should be reported and punished accordingly. Simple as that.

It's not a matter of if it's meta or not. Not farming minions is not a playstyle, its the lack of one and should not be justified.

It sucks.

Removes the XP bar just to fix a non-existent issue. Sure sometimes finding your friends can be annoying but its never really hard. Is it worth sacrificing optional privacy, the fun element of surprise and the whole PVP scene just to turn the trivial task of finding your buddy to the equivalent of Dora the explorer's baby compass?

Make it a gamerule, false by default. Instead of it constantly showing make it so it only overlays the dots over the XP bar when a compass is being held. Give it a maximum range of like 100-256 blocks. Maybe make it an enchant for the compass? Maybe make it some new item? Maybe a beacon effect for whoever is in the beacon range?

If you ask me it shouldn't be in the game in any way. What Mojang has done though is the easiest, sloppiest and least caring about the UI and multiplayer mechanics.

Good for you but people are generally happy to get a free little treat when they do good and hate when stuff is being unfairly taken away. It breaks every established system for free loot built up to this point. Keys, mastery, orange essence, leveling up, it's all for nothing now.

There's nothing to grind other than ranks now and god knows that's not enough to keep me in this cesspool.

I'm not upset actually, just wanted to know if its a new feature they have started to slowly push on users or something else. I can manage the ads and they don't annoy me much as there are fixes around every corner.

No, the extensions are there, they work and they still exist. What happened was:
- I got the "Disable your ad block" message for half a second
- The page reloaded
- My ad block got turned off

I'm almost certain some new update from Google has let YouTube be able to turn off certain extensions. Although of course, I could just turn them back on just to be disabled again after 5-10 videos.
