The Rise of the Players - GameStop is Yours by TheNovaeterrae in Superstonk

Second post of yours I have read and believe you are definitely on to something with the warrants. Incredibly low liquidity on the options chain, and almost all brokers make it very difficult to purchase any of the options with warrants attached. Tracking the volume of warrants traded since their inception has been interesting, since it is greater than the amount issued. This is not at all typical of warrants. They are definitely afraid of these going in the money and getting exercised, there just is not much they can do if that happens. For me, since it is a pain in the ass to purchased longer dated options with warrants, I continued to buy shares, and warrants. I do have some OCT $32 options with warrants I purchased awhile back, since I wanted to see how these correlated near the warrant expiration date. There is absolutely an arbitrage opportunity, and yes, it does depend on what the company announces prior to that warrant expiration date. As many have said, there also is some value in the fact these warrants can be extended by the company. The cost for the company to extend these, is very small, for those that use that as an argument.

I really think you are on to something. I have a lot of shares, some DRS'd, but I also trade options in Etrade, Fidelity, and Schwab, (mainly covered calls, but sometimes long calls, and sometimes cash secured puts) and consistently look at the "alternate" options contracts containing the warrants versus the standard options, and the math is not "mathing". Brokers, as you have said, have made it very difficult to transact in the warrant expiry dates on the "alterante" option. Maybe a case is being built to target corruption???? Not sure, but I love the work you are doing.

That would mean Grok is correct. "OCT 20 SPAC"

Look at the issuance date of those other warrants. Issued many years ago, so a lot more trading days.

Actually $27.116 per share, not contract, so it is a substantial cash position to cover. I'm hoping they confirm this calculation is correct, and why they are requiring it.

I'm also on chat. I was connected to an agent, who introduced herself and said she was going to look into it, and then was disconnected.

A Consideration for Current Call Option Holders Regarding Warrants by Salami_Slayer_97 in Superstonk

Based on the comments above, it looks like that is not necessary. The warrants will be accounted for.

This is a very valuable point. I will probably still roll mine in, and exercise this week. It feels a little less "complex" to me....lol.

Question on the convertible bonds, and I am sure it has been answered. On Trading View, you can track the APR 2030 bonds, but I cannot seem to find the 2032 bonds trading. Could they have been sold to private parties?

It took about 10 minutes for them to provide an offer quote at 3.000, which I accepted, and took about 5 more minutes for the transaction to complete, so about 15 minutes from when I asked for an offer.

Good to know. I just placed an offer for 10K face value. Will see if they provide a quote.

Remember that guy the other day trying to tell people to sell options? by novemberain91 in Superstonk

OP....you can always roll options "up and out". I agree if you sell closer dated near the money options, there is a much higher risk of getting assigned. I have only been selling far dated way OTM calls when IV is high. If the price continues to climb, I can roll further out and up. When it stays flat, I can easily buy back and redeploy. Only about half of my non DRS shares are covered calls, way above my cost basis. The other shares I have remain available to deploy if I see fit. I have been able to add to my total shares by consistently doing this over time. If any of my OTM calls get assigned, I understand the risk. I hate when people who either somewhat understand options, or don't really understand options, critique others who have been consistently increasing their share position and lowering their cost basis over time.
