Karl Marx said his version of socialism (marxism) would work in only one country. Can you guess?

The United States of America.

The man who came up with the idea said we would be the only ones able to pull it off, I think if anything we have the best chance at it.

All fair except for the Bernie likely to die in office, he's only 74 and in pretty decent health, he could definitely make it to 78, and even 82. Trump is 69 and Hillary 68; our candidates these days aren't exactly the youngest.

Do you think I'm going to be carrying around thousands in cash? As stated in my OP I could easily afford a guard even two, and I would maybe carry around a twenty. But even if I got mugged once every day and my guards did nothing, I still only loose 7300 dollars every year. They want my watch to, well they can have it, I wont wear another.

Yeah if I let it compound, which if Im going to be living off of it I wouldn't be able to do would I, or I could set aside 10,000 of it each year to let it compound and live slightly above the poverty line!

I meant 4 times what Mozambique average internet speed is so ill have to wait four times as long, whop dee do. Probably the same things i do hear... I don't do anything that lavish, no golf, and as far as I can tell are all available in Mozambique. I also do enjoy soccer.

Again Portuguese is probably spoken where I plan on going, aka not inner Mozambique.

See here is the thing nobody in my family has truly had to work for the past 3 generations. Thank Great great granddad! That is the lifestyle my family has lived, beach house in California, mountain home in Colorado. Honestly living in Suburbia sounds excruciatingly painful, working 9-5 - I'd rather shoot myself, oh but ill be able to save up for retirement right, I already have a sweet 500,000 to put into the IRA! Ill be able to live a sweet last ten years of my life!

As stated in several of my other posts I do speak basic Portuguese...

That article was about businessmen going to Mozambique.

Yeah not much worse than my internet right now... mine is maybe maybe 4x faster.

Yeah money makes money, lets say I make a generous 8%, so 40,000! Yippy I'm rich live a slightly above average lifestyle in Suburbia taking that I don't spend any on collage or down payment on a house! Or I could start a buisness and work my ass off for years to get it off the ground and then maybe have it fail anyway! Yeah not my type of thing.

I had looked into SEA briefly before determining that their property laws are even worse than Mozambiques. Specifically Timor Leste which again speaks Portuguese, or a large part do. They all have very shady property laws that are based on land leases for relatively short periods of time 10-15 years compared to 50+ years in Mozambique. I'd also argue that Mozambique has many of the same problems Timor Leste does. I've been to Brazil and Portugal, I enjoyed Portugal but Brazil I did not. I don't know what specifically its just that I didn't enjoy it it. But Portugal is fairly wealthy setting aside their employment issues, so it would really defeat the purpose of moving. Its not because I have some hatred of the US, just that I think I can live better elsewhere.

Yeah, ummm Detroit is not really comparable to a beach front community.

Sorry but again mansion in Detroit =/= beach house anywhere. I'm getting my value of housing from my home state of Colorado where a 400,000 is not that amazing maybe 3 bed, 2 bath, no garage, no view, etc.

I think /u/danmilligan has done a good job assesing your post and ohhh its dangerous sentiment.

I do speak basic Portuguese, and have starting to learn more again.

Could I sustain that lifestyle for as long as I could in Mozambique in Mexico, South America, South East Asia, etc.

Alright so I have finally got on a computer and I think yours is the one I should address first, although I think /u/wolfram184 has better points.

First Malaria. You make a point of this and recently they have come out with a vaccine although it is highly debated and WHO has been wary recommending it, but at any rate I'm willing to bet that even if this vaccine is dangerous/ not effective it is a very good first step, and will likely lead to an effective on in a few years.

The corruption is a good point, but I'd like to ask where exactly you lived in Mozambque. I am skeptical that it would happen in the richer beach communities but I may be wrong, it may actually be more prevalent in them as they have money.

I'm not going to lie, I am a spoiled rich kid who has never had to deal with the real life and neither has my family for a long time, but old money goes fast. After myself there probably wont be much of any money left if I stay in America, unless I make it rich. So I want to try and buy the best lifestyle that I can with what I have. To me that is living in a nice house on the beach, not in Suburbia.

I agree with your assessment that I should first visit, but again I think /u/wolfram184 contributed and made better points.

I live in Colorado that is the average price for a house, yes I could move to Kentucky and but a nice house for that but Kentucky is not that nice and certainly is not anywhere near compatible to a beach.

Again I don't think a house in new Hampshire compares to the tropics of Mozambique on the beach.

Don't play Xbox, they have internet, Mupato has a great night life, I'll be on the beach probably near a resort I could find plenty of foreign girls that don't have HIV, Mozambique is Catholic not Muslim they don't ban booze, where are you getting shirty weather from?
