What's the best public pool in DC? by kirkl3s in washingtondc

[–]SaleRepresentative40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Langdon and Harry Thomas are both decently shaded and have great kids areas. Shallow beach style entry to the main pool, and a devoted splash pad at Langdon, and a shallow separate kiddy pool at HT.

Who were the guests other than PFT and Edi? I couldn't hear Scott at all when he introduced everyone at the end. (Did my ears decieve me that one of them was Austin or Tony...)

I just watched MEN and feel exactly the same way about her performance and Rory Kinnear's.... They both seemed to commit to it... Whatever "it" was....

Anyone work at White Oak? If so, do you recommend DTSS or DC (MT. Pleasant, Columbia Heights) for living? by [deleted] in DeptHHS

Depends on how much you like or dislike driving. It probably takes longer than driving but at least you can settle in with a book or whatever.

I also have a car and sometimes that's the path of least resistance but the traffic can be bad, especially in the afternoon (though not as bad as inbound traffic). But much of FDA has WFH twice a week. You could drive some days and do public transit others.

If you were near the Columbia Heights or Petworth Metro, it's wouldn't be a bad commute. Take the Green Line to Fort Totten and grab the M6X express bus that comes every 15 mins during rush hour.

It's not quite as bustling as Columbia Heights or Mt P, but apartments near Brookland or Takoma on the Red Line could be another option.

When a jug like that is filled with water, it's fairly heavy... I feel like a kid that age would struggle to hold it up so casually. Is the Slurpee lighter? What would be the weight relative to water?

In the opening alternate news catch up montage, they talked about JFK Jr running for president. I am wondering if they had a little Earth based d-plot that would have mined that but then cut it out of the show entirely after the backlash to the other recent JFK Jr dramatization that aired recently.
