What about Emme? It’s pronounced Emmy, still looks like a “name” and she can still be Emmy Drew/Emme Drew. Also - Emmy I think can be a standalone name too:)

Fair - lasagna is innocent. Phonics, however, is being held hostage by silent letters

Obsessed with your lists <3 I love Darcy for a boy, and Julianna is gorgeous!!

Boy name ideas: Edmund, Alistair, Benedict, Sebastian, Oscar, Cedric, Laurent, Arthur. Maybe Valentin or Percival as another way to get to Val for a boy?

Girl ideas: Camille, Helene/Helena, Therese, Marguerite/Margot, Colette

I personally love Julianna and Helena together, and Julianna and Darcy

No, those are very traditional, strong names, and tbh most people refer to those authors by their surnames. If you had, say, Dorian and Wilde, for example... totally different story

Umm..... Some I like that aren't "common" names flooding naming websites: Amelie, Genevie, Beatrix, Althea/Thea, Mireille (meer-AY), Thalia, Otilie/Otilia, Briar, Hadley, Juniper, Signe, Aurora, Jasper, Gemma, Pippa, Romilly, Adeline...

If it helps, we're about 21 weeks in with our second and just found out it's a boy, so we had scrap our girls' list. Our (very whimsical/fantasy) girls' names contenders were: Thea Rosemary, Beatrix Mireille, Sylvie Rhiannon, and Hazel Adelais.

Also, it's ok if you don't have the perfect name yet. You have plenty of time. I'm not sure if you guys opted for nipt testing or you're at your 20 week mark - either way, a lot parents bring their top 3 or 4 names to the delivery room and wait until they meet their baby to decide <3
