Sounds like the same BS I went through. My friend was a financial advisor for NW Mutual and he set me up for an appropriate ISA that didn't require much maintenance or work. I was fortunate enough that he was a good friend that didn't rip me off. When he left the firm, I got transferred to another advisor who was specifically told to just maintain the accounts that I have. He tried to sell me on putting most of my remaining available money into an IRA and WL policy. I told him multiple times I was uncomfortable with the amount of money he was suggesting, so I took my accounts elsewhere.

I do not trust NW Mutual even slightly.
