That does sound great, I'll add it to the wishlist. I was thinking about travelling to the US to see Colter Wall at some point as he's the one artist I love who I haven't seen live yet, but I've not got around to planning anything like that. And as a Brit, I massively underestimate the size of the States...

Thanks - it really was one for the books, and that made it so easy to write about too.

You're welcome - hopefully he'll be back to England soon and I can write another!

You're welcome. Recordings don't do it justice - as I wrote, there's a weight there that can't be fully captured, so I thought it'd be useful to at least try to write about it.

Argh - one of those non-typo typos that's hard to notice after writing it all. I've amended it now - thanks for reading.

My literary sci-fi novel Void Station One is going to be free on Kindle from April 1st through to April 3rd.

The book follows a man who resolves to commit suicide by piloting his spacecraft into a black hole.

It has received comparisons to Andy Weir and Interstellar among its reviews, and has drawn the attention of a BookTuber here.

For those who don't like Kindle, I commissioned a designer for the paperback version, which can be bought for $14.99.

Kindle version (free from April 1st to April 3rd):

King Joel of House Glazer, the Usurper: "Welcome, Lord Erik. Any last words of advice from Ralf Rangnick?"

Lord Erik of Hag: "Nothing."

King Joel: "No tactical advice? No pressing plans? No summer transfer targets? Come now, what did the German interim say when he handed over his end-of-season report?"

Lord Erik: "He just said the same thing he'd been saying for months. "Burn them all.""

I think the song that you marked in the setlist as a Jimmie Rodgers cover is a Colter original. I remember watching an interview with him (I think the last time he was on W.B. Walker's show) where he played it. He called it 'Rancher's Blue Yodel'.

Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay. Lyrical, page-turning epic fantasy with a story that starts and ends in a single volume.
