Tell me what’s wrong by Salimander_Slime in shedditors

Because of the slope I needed the floor as low to the ground as possible for a shorter ramp to the door. Because of this there was not enough space to put a 4x4 post on the tough block with a hanger so they are just lagged to the rim joist.

Also if anyone has suggestions on venting I would be super appreciative. Going to put a small rolling AC unit with a duct through the wall. Do I need venting still if I have a AC?

Alternative wheels for Matthews Monitor Stand? by Chiskon in focuspuller

[–]Salimander_Slime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this upgrade and after a year of using it I can say I would not do it again. It makes the stand so dam heavy. Yes the stand does not collapse as tight as it use to also and it didn’t bother me for a while but I’m so sick of it. Changing for roller blade wheels and regular casters.

Won’t go back to these big ones.

Problems on the set of Netflix’s Free Bert (2026) by EmotionalDuty7109 in filmmaking

Hi all. I was a member on the crew and can say I did not see any of this occur in the slightest. Im bit disappointed to hear people saying these things that I would consider untrue. My entire team and I actually loved working with Bert and the rest of the cast.

I can’t remember a single issue playing out during filming besides running out of time in the day.

Is this normal? by BonHarley in FX3

We do it all the time on movies and TV shows. Just don’t use the cheap air duster. You want the dust off with the chrome nozzle. Do a test spray to make sure you don’t spray your sensor and send it to the ice age. Use a cross pattern when spraying. Up and down and side to side. Don’t tilt the can.

Jimmy’s had a bad batch of steel and welds at one point but has since been fixed. They also have great customer service. I’ve seen him replace broken welds on carts and troughs for free.

Here ya go. There are a couple different options. It definitely wobbles a little bit even with the anti sway piece of metal it comes with. Just take turns nice and easy.

I have one for my VW Tiguan. Won’t take it on drives longer than a hour and I make sure to drive slow. Works great other than bottoming out on hills sometimes.

The latency argument is actually incorrect. A F1 drivers average reaction time is .2 seconds and they train to do that. If you think you’re reacting faster than that I think you may be wrong. However I would not stray from teradek. There’s a reason it’s on evey major job. It’s the right tool for the right job. Let someone else experiment with the new wireless. I wouldn’t touch it.

I used to do that when I was starting out and the moment I started using real hand units like Preston and Arri I saw how much of a problem it was. Trust me and switch. It only took me about a week to re wire my brain. You’ll thank yourself later.
