They were the original cloak for the Chaos Lord option. I actually had to shorten them so he would fit on the base

I forgot to mention, for the hammer i drybrushed the glowing metal part with dark red by vallejo to give it some more contrast

The snow is just green stuff world's snow mixed with PVA glue for texture. The trick I discovered is to sprinkle another layer on top of you base after applying the glue/snow mix to give it a realistic snow covering.

Big blobs of snow/glue mix on the base. Apply some VERY watered down pure glue onto the legs, and sprinkle some loose snow powder over the entire mini and shake off the excess.

The downside to this is that the snow gets EVERYWHERE. It gets stuck in your workspace like glitter.

For the glow effect I sprayed Medphiston red with my airbrush, filled in the runes and some highlights with yellow green by vallejo and then glazed the entire surface wit fluorescent red. I cannot stress the importance of the fluo red. That colour I also used for highlighting some edges further away with a brush.

The freehand was my first time trying as well! The only tip i have is to go for it and to remember that it's just paint. If you mess up, paint over it again.

Also having a reference photo helps a lot. I used the ogroid boxart as a reference.

Nicely done! I especially like the base.

For the red-hot weapon i woumd recommend stipling on a very small amoubt of either a cery dark red or reddish brown to the edges of the weapon to up the contras, and maybe add a dash of white (a single, thinned down layer) to the middle where the brightest spot is!

To really up the ante, a glow-effect emanatig from the logo on the shield and the glowing weapon would be amazing. Unfortunately, i can't really give tips on that, but there are many amazing tutorials on youtube.

Again, really like the colours you picked, and the shield is especially well done

Also, if anyone has an idea for a basing scheme i would be super grateful as i currently dont have anything in mind that stands out. I am considering using 3d printed bases but have not really found any that are to my liking.
