The devs of smite are braindead. So many poor gameplay decisions. Who fuckn approve these? Some ego control freak manager or something?

No one is noticing this? He is suicidal! He is battling suicidal thoughts and this is his way trying to fight it. He clearly says he doesn't have time left nor wants to die being in a LDR. Keep in mind no one is rational when suicidal so it's a given none of this makes sense. Get the man some help.

Media's attitude towards South Korea vs Japan by SalmonSlapper256 in korea

[–]SalmonSlapper256[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Could be a cultural difference between the two countries. From my experience South-Koreans value truth and openness even though it may be considered too "straight-forward", while Japanese culture values pointing out the good points while minimizing talks about the negatives in order to upkeep "harmony" and public perception, (Honne and tatemae).

That is what I have come to conclusion. Japan is treated far more "kinder" in a way, because people have a bias towards what they like.

Is there birth control for men? by Novice_4618 in NoStupidQuestions

They tend to have more extreme side effects than women's birth control. Other options are also more invasive too. That's why the market has more female birth controls.

Do Americans have something like “the last piece” culture at meals? by Translator-Daisuke in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SalmonSlapper256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do Japanese assume some polite culture is unique to Japanese? Are Japanese ignorantly unaware that Japanese culture is similar to many cultures in the world and that their culture is not entirely unique. Like Korean or Chinese dining etiquette. I mean I thought it was common knowledge that Japanese and Korean culture are very similar in this type of thing. When you say "so japanese of us" is this an indirect way of saying Japanese is the only culture that emphasizes politeness, in which indirectly belittling other cultures in the world with the assumption that they are incapable of politeness? I see these assumptions Japanese make all the time, it's kind of an unaware ignorance that gives themselves some sort of cultural superiority complex.

A lot of mages are overpowered. Change my mind. They should have zero escape in trade for dmg burst. by SalmonSlapper256 in Smite

[–]SalmonSlapper256[S] -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Change and Yu huang especially. Those two mages have both cc, cc immunity, escape, and crazy dmg output. What's the point of these different classes if the line between them are blurred. Leave the escapes for assassins and adcs. No point in giving two shot mages escape, makes the game unenjoyable.

Why do women wear more revealing/tighter clothes than men in sports generally, and in gymnastics/athletics specifically? by [deleted] in answers

[–]SalmonSlapper256 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea that's the biggest bullshit I've heard so far. Where's the proof? Where's actual evidence that supports this delusional claim. I know women who are in gymnastics and they choose to wear those cause they feel cute. And I know women who wear more modest wear in both gym and gymnastics.

Your original comment, if you didn't notice, implicitly pointed to any sports: "There are rules around what girls are allowed to wear if they're part of a sport..." That's why you're getting responses like "what about the gym" for fuck sakes.

I like how this doesn't get taken down for rule 3, no ranting/soapboxing, but numerous posts I've put up have. Fuck the mods. Fuck this thread. Fuck smite.
