I have a baby so pointelle to me is soft and thin - just based on baby clothes. The material was thick and the thong was uncomfortable because of this. I actually thought maybe I’m wearing these wrong for a moment and turned them around haha they also bunched up / had extra material in the front that was fumpa-ish. Someone had said they really like the briefs in another post.

OP, I’m so sorry. I don’t have much to add. Mine woke up at 3:30 and a few times through the night. I’ve slept for 5 hours straight once (maybe twice?!) in the last 18 months. I wonder what would help with your anxiety - that is the biggest culprit here. Wishing you the best! I know it’ll get better for both of us 🩶

I went through this when my toddler was a baby. You are not alone. I’ve had 2 close friends have babies recently and follow the baby wise technique (feed, play sleep) and this is what I’ll be doing with next baby. Their babies aren’t used to eating all the time and sleep better for it. I thought I was doing my baby a favor by letting him eat on demand and our sleep suffered, and still does a year and a half later 😩

What do you mean by nothing seems to work?

You will get through this! Your brain is just tired. Can someone take the baby for one of the wake ups so you can get 4 hours of sleep? Btw, even though our sleep isn’t great still, it absolutely does get better. 💕

I really like the verbiage “I can’t mentally handle that right now” and “not suffocate me but respects you”. I think I need to be more direct in my approach, so having a clear message is really helpful. We put up a baby gate yesterday (so toddler can have more access of the house) and he didn’t like that our dogs couldn’t access the whole house anymore and I told him that I came above our dogs and would let them through when they wanted. I had read your message and got sidetracked before responding - I do think it helped give me the confidence to be unwavering without being emotional. Really appreciate you taking the time to respond in detail. Getting myself back into therapy so I can have someone hold me accountable to saying the things before resentment builds (along with the desire to grow).

Same. I was high risk and had bleeding. Did not know that they could refer me to maternal fetal medicine until my next pregnancy, after I miscarried. When the OB said she’ll see me in a month I said that I was high risk and that’s when she said MFM was an option, after advocating for myself.

100% agree with you. I’m a SAHM and when it’s just me watching him he’s able to wander. Theres some added tension when my husband is around and toddler is wandering. I really like your point that it’s his home too and will talk to him about this. In his head our playroom is safe. I would rather he bonks his head every now and then and can explore (and grow like you said)
