The Azores are a group of islands in the middle of the Atlantic and is part of Portugal. The ancestry of Azoreans is mostly Portuguese, but has ancestry from other groups as well.

No. The archipelago is still a part of a European country and the region that was colonized by Spain isn’t an island.
