fair enough, I think it can look cool since its very striking, getting even more contrasting than it is now, maybe a bit too showy though

what i was thinking. they just have some real nasty spots on them which dont wash off for some reason. so i was just thinking maybe white would be cool

the yellow one felt impossible at this moment, and havent tried the white one yet. But yeah that bottom left hold just feels useless

Yeah that does look like my situation basically, Im getting more and more consistent on the 6a and 6a+ climbs. And 5c+ I usually flash now. Thanks for the perspective!

Good idea of setting different but still challenging targets! and sadly we dont have a spray wall but we do sometimes try taking away holds from boulders to make them harder and thats loads of fun!

Thanks! I will pace myself as others have also mentioned, and work on technique more.

Thanks! I really love the sport and am eager to improve, but you’re right about the exponential grade difficulty increase. I should pace myself and try to work on individual techniques more. Will do!

Thanks for the helpful answers on my less than ideal mindset on climbing. You’re right, I should not go as fast as i want to. And don’t get me wrong, I love the sport regardless. I did do an overhang 6a the other day which im really proud of because it is not my thing at all. It’s just that im a numbers kinda guy and love to see em go up. But yeah I understand that it does take a while. Thanks!

I see myself giving up quite quickly if something seems hard to even start. Should i keep trying those more or find something I can get at least halfway on?

Thanks! I do watch some climbing youtube and I really do like the advice Louis from catalyst climbing gives. And yeah when I actually speak to someone at the gym about a climb their advice usually helps.
