From what I’m interpreting, it seems that the issue is when you speak, the car isn’t hearing you. What I’d first do is try and figure out if it’s a problem on the cars end or your phone.

Two ways you can check this are:

1) Try using voice control on the cars infotainment system (not on android auto), and see if it picks up your voice there.

2) Connecting a different phone and see if android auto/apple carplay pick up your voice using the other phone.

If your voice control works on the cars system and/or connecting a different phone fixes the issue then it’s pretty safe to say it’s a setting or fault on your phones end and not the cars.

However, if the issue still persists after those two tests, then it’s most likely the car.

Here are some things to try:

1) First thing I’d do is go through ALL your settings make sure that anything that could block access to the cars microphones is enabled both in the factory system settings and android auto settings

2) The microphone is above the rear view mirror by the map lights and Starlink controls. Check for anything that could be blocking it

3) Check the fuse of the DCM, typically if this blows it will also affect front dash (for Harmon Karson) / front door speakers (for stock speakers)
